I would like to burn an SWF to a DVD for a presentation I am doing. I know that Flash 8 can export to AVI, and then I'm sure I can use Nero to burn those AVIs, but I had a question about resolutions.

The presentation will be played on a mix of HDTVs (1360x768) and standard LCD TVs (800x600), My question is which resolution should I develop for in Flash? When you burn to a DVD, does it automatically convert it to the resolution it should use? When designing for TVs, does aspect ratio matter instead of resolution? Any help you can give is appreciated.

Your only choices are to letterbox it or go for anamorphic.

DVD is a 4:3 pixel space, there's no way around that.
