Resizing the quick launch bar in XP

Does anybody know how to resize the quick launch bar in Windows XP? In Win 98 and 2K, you could drag the edge of the bar to the size you needed, but in XP, there appears to be no edge.

right click on the task bar and uncheck the "lock the taskbar"
