Resize RAID0 does not work

My C partition consists of 2 80GB drives in a striped partition (RAID0), totalling 160GB. I want to resize this partition to create a new one. Knowing that I cannot resize while running Windows, I used Acronis DiskDirector's v9 boot CD instead. After I choose the 'Resize' option DiskDirector analyzes the partition and shows the resize screen. But here I cannot do anything because the partition shows zero free space which is not true. Moreover, the disk icon now shows a red icon with an X. When I go into Properties, I see that there is an error indicating a corrupted index structure. I ran chkdsk with the '/p' and 'r' flag multiple times, even using the recovery console, and saw no problems. I also unchecked the index search properties of that drive in Windows. Any ideas on how to solve this? Any other tools you can recommend?

Is it showing 1 disk or 2? You're likely using the onboard fakeraid crap so if it's showing 2 then whatever environment Acronis is booting up in just treating the controller as the separate ports they really are.
