Just now starting to play this game. I never did like the others because I ain't into horry games much. This one doesnt seem as bad as the others. Instead of freaky zombies they use guys that look almost human and use weapons.

But my question is. I have been finding alot of ammo and herbs. Curious is there alot more action in this game and less need of having to use as little ammo as possible? In the other games you had to try and keep as much ammo/health as possible.

Do they give you plenty of ammo and health in this one? Of course in this one you got alot more ppl coming at you.

Any tips/tricks to kill alot of them coming at you at once? No spoilers please :D.

Yeah, you don't have to worry about lack of ammo in this game. Alot more action than survivial horror in RE4 than prior RE games.

As for crowd control, the shotgun does wonders. Shoot at their legs and the group of ganados go flying back. So either finish them off with pistol shots to the head or just run past them while they get back up.

Grenades work great if you can get them in a close group. I never liked a lot of the old RE'd but this one rocked.

Man, I remember the first stage of Code Veronica, where they throw you into the middle of a six zombie gangbang only with the knife. What happened to RE being about "Shoot it only enough times to knock it over, then run like freakin' hell because you don't have the firepower to take on the whole crowd?" :p

That's what you're suppose to do in RE4. Shoot them in the knee to get them on the ground and then ACTION kick the snot of of them.

i'm in chapter3...this game rox plain and simple.

yeah, shoot knee, slash with knife works best. even with multiples...buys time coz they take a while to get back on feet.

they give more than enuff ammo...at least thats what i feel...since i always shoot a couple times then slash with knife. While slashing i aim at their knees too so oftentimes they fall back down...even multiples.

yeah this game is dope! My little brother always hated the RE series but I couldn't get anywhere near my Cube for an entire weekend. The lazy biatch even called in sick from work on that Monday just to beat it.

u need NONE of the treasures. Nothing important can be accidently sold. Of course make sure u upgrade the treasures before u sell for more $$...if non-upgradeable. I'd keep the emeralds, eyes for later coz u might need them to place into the treasures u get later.

*i just finished this game a week ago.

RE and RE2 ROCKED hard.

I'd wait until they came close then aim up with the shotty and take his head off and he'd be dead. Not sure if it still works in RE4 though.

RE and RE2 you had to conserve so much ammo and the herbs it was crazy. Never finished RE but got outside to the hunt/houses with the big spiders though.

RE4 is a big departure from previous ones.
the control is vastly improved and shooting is just a blast in general.
the atmosphere and pacing are really unmatched by any current game.
Re4 has no rival in the Action Adventure genre imo.

Yeah, if treasures can be combined, they're generally collected during the same chapter. So combine whatever possible and then sell it all. You will find more new treasures to combine in the castle area.
