Just picked this game up today. I was waiting for the Gamestop I work at to get some in stock, and when I got to work tonight, lo' and behold, we had about 10 copies freshly stocked. With plans to buy one, a guy came in to trade in his RE4 Wii copy about 15 minutes before it was time for me go home. His copy was absolutely mint, so I purchased it at the used $26.99 price along with my employee discount. Had I a discount card, I would've gotten another $2-3 off.
HUH??? Game stores will even ripoff their employees?????? And what type of trade in value did this guy get, $10-15?

What do you mean rip-off their employees? I get a 15% discount on anything new or used in the store (besides new consoles), and if we decide to purchase their regular 10% Game Informer thingy for $15, we can stack that 10% on top of our 15% to get 25% of anything used. I don't really see how that's a rip-off. EDIT: Hell, with new releases for the 360, my discount basically makes them $50 games again, instead of $60.
He got $15 of in-store credit, by the way. It's only a $30 game in the first place. If you think it's a rip-off, remember it's voluntary to trade in your games, nobody is forcing anyone to do it.

A lot of the GameStop employees around here will buy used games from the customer that they are trading in with cash and pay them a dollar or so more than the trade in value. Is that against policy?

do the wii controls really add anything to the standard controls?

Plus in general I think that the Wiimote/Nunchuck is very comfortable.

I never played RE4 on the GC/PS2, but I've played RE2 on the PSX. I'm sure that it's somewhat similar. To me, it's really easy to aim and conserve ammo via headshots and using your knife. Plus in general I think that the Wiimote/Nunchuck is very comfortable.

The control scheme isn't somewhat similar?
I know RE4 is much faster-paced, but it would seem the fundamental controls remain the same.

I played it on the cube and never bothered playing past the first fourth of the game. Just wasn't fun to me. And wave-arm controls only make things more frantic because they are more difficult. So they make it scary by having zombies (or whatever they are) that are terrible AI, and then put in more difficult controls so that you struggle more. Just not fun to me.
