Resident Evil 4 help

Just got RE4 PC and it gets stuck on this running away from a rock part. I hold down sprint and i just get run over. please help.

I don't have the PC version, but maybe you have to tap the sprint button really fast and not hold it? That is how it worked on the GC.
 
you sprint sprint sprint spring then have to dodge at a certain time

on the gamecube you get visuals showing which keys to press. i havent played it on the pc, and wont evah.

btw, i hated this game when i first got it, but i started it last week and almost have it finished now. it rocks once you get the hang of it 🙂

You are supposed to rapidly press the buttons, not hold down the buttons. You are not worthy of your handle.
 

i gave up on the PC version
... i just tossed the DVD
... it gives the "resident" game it is ported from, an evil name
 
Game is fantastic if you get an xbox controller + the retextured buttons mod. Plays just like the console versions.

everywhere i read says that the graphics are worse
 
I am playing right now, to get past that part you need to quickly tap the "action" button repeatedly to get him to speed up....at the las second a button combination will pop up that you must press to dodge the boulder.

 
I had problems with that part too.

I think one of the buttons I had to repeatedly press was Shift, which in XP, shift 5 times brings you out of the game and some stupid stickyKeys message pops up, even after I kept trying to completely disable that 'feature'. I think I had to rebind my keys.

I played through 1-1, 1-2, into 1-3 or so with MouseAim, but it was pretty bad, and very hard. I might try it again with my 360 controller and correct button mod, and I hear the patch improved the graphics a bit.
 
Improved on the already best GC graphics. All the extras in the PS2 version. And the pin point accuracy with the mouse mod on the PC version. Yup, the Wii Edition is the best.

You have to repeatedly tap the button flashing on the screen, usually button 3 on the logitech rumblepad.

And for the record, RE 4 is probably one of the best ports to PC I have ever seen. Aside from the movies, which didn't get updated, everything looks nice and purdy. Not to mention there are very, very few bugs.

You got to be kidding me. The game is beautiful running at 1680X1050 with 4x antialiasing on my machine. Yes, the movies are low rez, but the in game visuals are more then adequate.
 
I am playing the pc version and I'm using my keyboard. When I get to the boulder scene it says to push 3 to sprint - I use the action button I configured as 3 doesn't work. Then it says to push 5 + 6 to dodge. I've tried using left and right but I can't seem to keep from getting crushed by the boulder. Besides using a controller (i sneak play at work) does anyone else have ideas?

I am having no problems with this game using just the keyboard. It just takes getting used to like any game. It is pretty fun. Alot better than the other RE titles. I have played them all except outbreak. Veronica sucked the most of course.
