Resevior or T-line for Water Cooling??

Hi,

I am going to switch to water cooling, and was wondering why you need a resevior? Why not just use a T-line? Seems like you would save more case space?

I have seen systems with and without, and don't know which way to go.

Any help would be great!

Thanks,

Loo

Depends what you want. T-line runs maybe a bit cooler. Reservoir is maybe a bit easier to install and maintain.

If you have the space, go res, otherwise go T. What case/components are you working with? I always use T-lines cuz I like jamming my whole setup inside a midtower 🙂.

Dangerden has some nice T-line filler valves, thats 1 on top of my case.

I have a full size Antec case, so I have some room as far as bays go, but I might just use the T-line to keep things simple.

Sorry, but I couldn't get your link to come up to see your box.

Is it hard to bleed the air out of a system with a T-line?

I use a T-line in my watercooling setup because its easy to fill, I can fit everything in my case and I can transport it while its filled (probably can do this with a resevoir too, but I'm not sure as I've never had one). As far as bleeding the air out, all the air pretty much bled out while I was leak testing (I just left the T-Line uncapped. I had heard a couple stories about some of the acrylic resevoirs leaking because of the way they are glued together, so I decided to just skip them all together, not saying they are unsafe I just decided not to use one

Hey, thats a nice looking rig! Can you take a pic that shows your setup inside the box?
I would like to see how your loop works with your T-line.

Thanks!

tline or reservoir it will give the same temps... some people say it creates alot of flow restriction... I highly doubt that. I'm using my 3rd reservoir from swiftech soon and I also have a dangerden double acrylic clear reservoir and I can assure you that this reservoir will not crack! these reservoir are about 1/4in thick all around there is no way that it'll crack for me atleast!
