Hi, I work at a school and a student has set a bios password on an OmniBook XE3, and it won't let you get past that screen when youtry to use it. I am wondering if there is any way that I can reset the bios? The bios on the machine are PHoenix 4 Release 6.

Thank you in Advance for your help

it is easy to say - take out the battery -
but on someone else's laptop, at school, i think you could be asking for trouble if you break anything........

who's laptop is it?
who set the password?
can you tie the ah heck up and play 'stuck in the middle with you' whilst playing with a cigarette lighter.
That will make him talk like a canary

lol I wish... We log who use the computers and none of them say they did it... And the warrenty on the laptop is expired, and it is useless at the moment b/c the passwords stops you from doing anything. Also I thought you weren't able to just take out the cmos battery b/c of a chip called eeProm or something.

Thanks agian.... and I will try taking out that battery :D
