reset loop, can't reinstall windows, NOTHING

Please help...

my computer is stuck in a reset loop and I cannot get into windows, safe mode, winxp install cd, nothing.

When I try safe mode in goes until it hits mvp.sys and then automatically restarts. annoying.

when I try the xp cd it goes all the way until it says "starting windows" and then restarts.

I just installed a new mobo, flashed the bios and now it is really unhappy. I have unplugged everything except the hard drive, only ram stick. Tried everything.

Please help

Since you replaced the board and didn't do a clean install, you've got drivers from the old board trying to load devices that don't exist on the new one. Boot to the XP CD, format the drive and do a clean install!

If poor planning is involved and you have data on the drive that you need to protect, then Boot to the XP CD and do a repair (the second repair option) install. If you have a raid array or scsi drives you'll need the driver disk (floppy) and remember to hit F6 on the way up to get the option to load those drivers........... Good Luck!

yep...thanks, but the problem is that I cannot even boot into the xp cd...it loads the drivers and resets before me the option of doing a repair
