I'm getting to it just fine. The results you're seeing are because Verisign created a * domain; any domain name that doesn't exist(or doesn't seem to exist) gets routed to the * domain. So, since it still exists, there must be a hiccup in the DNS system or something. The direct IP is http://209.197.69.29/.

Yep, must be somewhere in the DNS settings or system...

worked going through the direct IP.

Virge, are you missing a lot of the jpeg's and GIF's on the page?

They must be having some serious problems.

Ya, images are missing, my machine keeps redirecting to Verisign's black-hole domain for images.resellerratings.com. Oddly enough, a dig on our Linux box is showing up as images resolving correctly to 207.218.248.72; I'm starting to wonder if Verisign's crap isn't causing some local caching issues. As for searching, my guess is that it's hard linked to the DNS name of the site(as opposed to a dynamic link), so it tries doing a DNS lookup, gives you the black-hole, and you're back at Sq 1 again. If you really want things to work right now, you might have to put specific IP addresses in your host file.

Oh no, it's not a big deal...

Thanks for checking into it though.

If you want to check out the forums on RR, you can get to them via http://www.techIMO.com . You'll have to register separately on tIMO if you want to post, because even though they share forums, they don't share registration dbs.

Sucks for techimo (Scott Wainer) that they never even warned them...

Anyone remember when hotmail was unavailable because M$ forgot to pay for the domain registration renewal ? This was back in '99.
