Requiem for a Dream

Another one of those movies you do not want to see on a first date. It is a good movie but waaaaaay too depressing.

Some other movies on that same list:
Mystic River
Seven

Amazing film... almost made me jump from my balcony.

goood thing my roomate stopped me...

Madison "we have a winner" major

While this movie is well made and well acted and well written, I still dislike it. It is a depressing sadistic movie with a bleakful outlook on life and fellow man. While not every movie has to have a Disney ending, it seems like this movie was a a continuous "old yeller" death scene. A director could make a movie about killing babies or something else disturbing, but should he?

this movie is depressing.......so when one of my friends watched it for the first time, he watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on dvd afterwards to feel good before falling asleep 😀

The first movie i've ever shown to my girlfriend that she ended up running out the room crying.

She didnt talk to me the rest of the night, haha 🙂

She lost it at Ass-to-Ass 😀

I'm with Stark and pulse8 on this one...movie was boring throughout. There was nothing shocking in it that I haven't seen in other movies

its called life. i can understand how you wouldnt like it tho. not too pleasant for entertainment.

a great movie. somewhat realistic, most of any movie ive seen lately dealin with drug addiction. it made me feel sick and depressed, one of a handful of movies that actually made me feel anything. even made me miss my momma.

i plan on showing it to my children when they become teens/old enough to handle the graphic depiction.
