The reason why I'm spending a little extra is because I want a future proof computer where I don't have to go around worrying all day over buying the cheapest possible equipment I can find. Also I would like a stable ground for overclocking.

Nothing we've recommended is "cheap". Less expensive, sure but definitely not cheap. It's more a matter of buying the features that you need, and not spending a huge amount on features that you will never use.

ASUS P8P67 is probably what I will end up with.

That's not a bad choice actually. Certainly better value than the Pro or Deluxe.

I don't disagree. You can't replace all your parts every time a new technology comes out tho.

Of course you don't need to replace all of them. However, you will likely need to replace the mobo for each new CPU.

PSUs and cases can be used for another build most of the time which is why I'll gladly spend a few extra on them.

The PSU and cases that we're recommending will serve you well through many builds. If you have some spare time, I'd suggest reading up on Intel's, AMD,'s and Nvidia's long-term strategies with regard to TDP. Simple put, desktop computers have reached a TDP plateau, so you're not going to suddenly need an 850W PSU tomorrow (or next year, or the year after that).

Anyways thanks for the help even though we disagree on a lot of things. I've decided what to go for and hopefully it'll work out for me!

In other words "I'm taking my toys and going home". :awe: But seriously, at least you have a lot of new things to think about now.
