After experiencing the new thread subscription notification, I am finding that the change has been a negative one for me
My difficulties:
When I am at a computer that has forums filtered, I cannot see any response other than the first to a thread. I can usually get to a computer that allows forum access, but normally save that for periods more conducive to my full attention. If a member has an urgent need to solve a problem, I would happily provide what assistance I could but I do not know of the need from browsing my email and help for a member is often delayed.
While (for me) the subscription to a thread provided a method to track the thread without constantly logging in and out of the forum, the new process has eliminated that (great) feature. I understand you need site hits to make your advertisers happy, but I believe forum features should consider more than simply boosting hits.
You had a great method to limit the "full inboxes" that has been eluded to as such an "issue".. It was the unscribe button..... I believe it would be much easier for our "forum elite" to click that button a single time than it is for me (and many like me) to spend our time logging in and out of this site ad infinitum.
So now you know my problems.... here is my question
Is there a method in forum preferences to choose which type of subscription notifications I prefer? (full or single notifications)
I believe there should be.

For what it is worth... you are getting LESS hits from me now.
