Repubs Running Out of Ways to Attack Obama

First, they attacked him on the wars. Whoops! Can't do that anymore!
Second, they attacked him on the economy. Whoops! Can't do that anymore either!
Now, they are attacking him on gas prices.

With the wars ending and the economy improving, the Repubs' argument of "Obama fails at everything" is looking weaker and weaker.

I don't know about that. Republicans managed to find a way to complain about Obama killing Osama bin Laden. It's not really what a politician does, it's how the other side can spin it.

I have to agree that Obama has failed in keeping some of his promises, but I'd like to think part of the reason for that is his lack of knowledge of certain issues before having the priviledge of obtaining said knowledge once he took office.

As well, let's not forget that the Repubs have vociferously and with extreme mailce hindered, blocked and stonewalled every single thing Obama has tried in an effort to make good on some of those promises.

Many of the 'Pubbie's in this forum completely ignore the glaring and obvious complicity of their leaders in Congress to keep Obama from fulfilling some of his promises in their attempt to heap all of the blame on Obama, all the while being totally mute about their party leader's unwavering and intense involvement in either blocking Obama's efforts or neutering them into hollowed out pieces of crap legislation that always gives the hostage-taking Repubs more in ransom than they should have gotten in true and traditional compomise fashion.

In this regard, I must say the Repub's are truly doing "a heck of a job".

I agree for the most part, other than that the Republicans did compromise on the budget.

Agreed. Their record wrt nominees is utterly atrocious, as well. They're the party of No.

If Obama were a man of different temperament, he wouldn't have stopped interim appointments with the consumer protection agency & the NLRB- he'd have stuffed the whole list right down Repubs' throats, including the DC dogcatcher...
 
Wait, Obama actually kept his promise to remove all combat troops from Iraq in slightly over a year after being made president? That would be news to reality and everyone who lives in it.

He surrendered in one war, is losing another, lead from behind in one and can't decide what to do on another. LOL! Great record.....not.

The economy is NOT getting better it's still in free fall. You might want to check the employment figures.

As for the gas prices, well, he has a ways to go to meet his goal of $8 to $10 gas.

The Republicans cant really use guantanamo bay, because bush jr started that place and its record of crimes against humanity.

The question is, what has obama do for the US, and my answer is nothing.

Its taken him 3 years to pull our troops out, guantanamo bay is still open, the banks still run the economy, we still have free trade with china, we have record fuel prices,,,,,.

Alternatively, we could elect a free market self regulated banking no taxes on the rich come to Jesus hard money Republican, the Party that put us into the mess we currently have.

Once the nominee has been picked, an endless stream of Obama vids will be used against him. His promise after promise to correct this, end that, and so on will be filling the airwaves. There is so much material out there.

But, he'll do a great job of convincing the nearly 50% that readily accept the government dole that if he gets another term, more free shit will be coming their way. And that, won't be a lie.

The government can't give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. What happens when we run out those to take from?

Anybody with a half a brain knows that BOTH parties did this to us. Obama has only increased the damage 10 fold.The only reason unemployment is down is because it is running out and they are giving them disability even if they are not disabled..

Whew, you must have been drinking a lot of red koolaid lately. Obama hasn't been all that great, but what you list here completely ignores the facts of his presidency. Your hyperbole about "surrendering" really takes the cake, too. The Republicans have all but abandoned any pretense of good governance. No matter how bad Obama has been, the GOP has no right to capitalize on that because what they have to offer is exponentially worse...

What color is the sky in your world? Every promise made reguarding the economy, money and just about everything else has been thrown out the window and this economy is still in the shitter.

Pray tell- how did he make it 10 times worse? Following through on the Bush Bailouts? Cutting taxes for middle class earners rather than for the rich? Extending unemployment benefits in the face of the worst employment picture since the Great Depression? Providing assistance to State & local govts so they could function?

Both parties? Perhaps, but it was Repubs leading the charge every inch of the way, from Saint Ronnie forward... Free Trade! Self Regulated Banking! Innovative Financial Products! Cutting red tape so you can buy the house of your dreams! Taxcuts at the Top, for that great trickledown feeling that never happens!

Repubs sure as Hell can't run on their accomplishments, or on their record of bipartisan support in Congress, either, so all they can do is attack.

Sensible people are going to ask themselves what will Repubs do instead? I mean, really- maybe we can cut spending to force layoffs to solve unemployment, cut foodstamps, cut medicaid, cut SS, cut, cut, cut! and then Rebuild America with wishful thinking, huh?

Why, we can just leave it to the fabled Job Creators! who've blown us out their asses ever since this great recession started, huh? Where are those guys? Making excuses about "Uncertainty" & "regulations!" as their fortunes increase & they whine about more tax cuts?

People are going to ask themselves if they are really better off than they were 4 years ago. If you keep blaming Bush, then Obama wasn't the man to fix the problem. Next. Government is not the answer to creating jobs.

What will Repubs do instead? Double down on their ideology of failure, finish off the middle class on the altar of Greed at the top?
