In a shocking development in his weekly radio address President Bush today announced that he has put forth a plan to extinguish the sun. When asked why he wanted to do this President Bush stated that the sun was giving big oil too much competition and that something must be done to insure that oil company profits remain high. After the radio address President Bush was heard to laugh maniacally as he walked down the hall.

Ok....so it's a poor joke based on the Simpsons episode where Mr. Burns wanted to block out the sun. Really though....this is the way some of the extremist wackos try to portray Bush.

lol I remember that episode; it was hilarious! Bush is a whore for religious right half the time, and a whore for energy companies the other half. God that guy needs to grow a backbone.

Bush can't shut down the sun. Come on! :|

Besides, Gore invented the sun.

lol.

The past week in the paper here have been pics of bush all rubbing shoulders with religious leaders and his father. Gets a good laugh at the kitchen table.

Funny how when someone supports something you may disagree with, they're political "whore(s)" Yet if they support something you may agree with, they're simply responding to the will of the people rather than a poltical whore doing YOUR bidding.

Ever -- for a minute -- think that Bush supports oil exploration, free trade of oil, and the religious because he IS religious, and actually believes that oil exploration a free trade is a good thing???

Naw, of course not.

Ever think that oil companies and energy concerns contribute to Bush because he ALREADY supports and believes in their issues and they support a guy who believes as they do?

Naaaw of course not.
Then you couldn't smear him as a "political whore" instead of actually addressing his core values.

Hey, don't forget the rest of the leftist mantra.

Starving children to death, letting senior citizens die or booting them out of their houses, etc....

Don't tell me you're that naive AmusedOne. How do u know I don't support some of his issues? How do u know I didn't vote for him? You shouldn't jump to conclusions. Then you have to rely on the weak arse "hey just b/c he thinks differently doesn't mean he's a jerk. You're just bitter" argument that is used so often when trying to be a Bush cheerleader.

Of course he thinks oil exploration is a good. He makes a ton of money at it. Of course he is "religious" Religion pays to get him into office.

He wasn't just some religious, oil loving guy, and then the religious right say:

"hey this is a happy. religious guy, loves oil for its sake, let's make him president. and oooh! he happens to have the name of a famous president!! what an awesome coincidence".

Or maybe the oil companies said

"although this guy was born into oil money, he really thinks oil exploration is good for everyone, he isn't personally motivated. how cool and convenient for us AND the public at large!"

if you don't think he's primary a tool of his campaign contributors, think again.

edit: and btw, enough polls show he isn't representing "the will of the people" in either his religious policies or his energy policies. What to know if you represent the will of the people? pretty simple, ask them what the want.

Actually, he lost a ton of money in oil. He switched to investing in and managing a sports team. That's where the bulk of his wealth came from.

Shows how much you know. Like I said, he failed in the oil business by getting into it at the wrong time.

He supports oil companies and is religious. He held these views before going into politics. Please tell me how contributers have swayed his opinions if he held those opinions BEFORE taking office?

re: religious and oil values before the presidency

he was born into oil so since the day he was born he had "contributors" in that area. And if you think he was always "religious" then look back at his drunk driving conviction, his lies to cover it up, his lies under oath, his avoiding vietnam buy pulling stringss, his funneling Texas state money into capaign funders, his felony drug use (+ hushed up arrest), his using state police to arrest peaceful demonstrators, his lawsuits to keep MCcain and Forbes off the New York primary ballot. Wake up, Amused One, this isn't a religious guy. Even you can believe that BS.

"he failed in the oil business" ? no his companies failed. huge difference read below. he profited.

" How does he make money at it?" hehe glad you bit. here's one example (many more are available but u can find them yourself.

Here are some examples of how Bush has profited from govt resources of his family :D

(1) Arbusto Oil founded with $20K of his own cash, while 50 investors -> "mainly friends of my uncle" In George W.s own words, put it 4.7 million and the lost most of it. Bush Jr said " the investors did pretty good" but then family friend Russel Reynolds "The bottle line was there were problems, and it didn't work out very well. I think we got maybe 20 cents on the dollar" As bush Jr's little company neared collapsed. Spectrum 7 energy corporation stepped in and made Bush Jr president (despite his obvious failure) and gave him 13.6% of the parents company stock. Sounds weird, look into Spectrum 7 and you'll know why (close ties to Regan/Bush Sr) the owners of spectrum 7 also let George Jr purchas a chunk of the Texas Rangers below market value, which later sold 24x what he sold it for. Finally Spectrum had problems and it was sold to Harken Energy corporation, where he was given 6 figures, over 200k of Harken stock, and was allowed to buy Harken stock 40% below face value (despite red inking both previous companies). he was allowed to borrow money from harken at very low rates, and was "forgiven" for most of these loans. So what did Bush Jr do to get all this cash while still mismanging two companies into the ground?

here are some thigs that happened for Harken after Bush came on board

(1) a surprise exlusive drilling contract with Bahrain

(2) members of it's board of directors were invtited to the daddy's white house and got to meet with Natl Security Advisor + pres of course

(3) 25 million stock offering from a very special bank with very special CIA ties.

You decide if these are coincidences. The payoff for his pro-oil policy will come after office, and he knows it.

<< All that proves is hes a good business man.. >>

ya, it does take a special talent to be able to profit from a name such as Kennedy or Bush, and to milk the public effectively ;)
