There is a difference between:

(A) Desiring to live in a near-utopian society, and
(B) Realizing the shortcomings of attempting a near-utopian society

For example, one can support background checks against criminals while at the same time not support a random government employee's ability to screen effectively and responsibly.

That's why you actually talk with people instead of getting quick-answer poll responses.

I like that fact that Republicons loved each individual proposal but when they were asked if the liked Obama's Gun contol plan which encompasses EVERYTHING they agreed with then they were staunchly against it....and yes she is right saying the GOP sheepal are mindless. ;)

Umm the irony is how hard the left tries to paint the picture of Conservatives being mindless and then put morons like Maddow on a pedestal.

That show was brutally pathetic, only value would be in using it as a drinking game for the number of times she repeated herself, over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

And again, show us other polls that replicate the data...while I am sure some of them might get "majority" support like background checks, they are in no way "libral" (as she so annoyingly pronounced it) ideas

I'm a democrat and dont support any of these proposals because I know a couple mason jars full of gasoline can do more damage than Newton did. That the car he drove there in could. Gun is just a tool. You won't stop crazy by banning one tool. But u can stop crazy with that tool.

So, American citizens can't be trusted with 11 rounds of ammunition, but Egypt can be trusted with new war tanks and F-16s? Ya gotta love it.
Ya gotta love how the same administration that intentionally walked weapons to Mexican and South American drug cartels wants those same weapons prohibited to law-abiding American citizens.
