Not likely. The major parties now see that legal battles are the key to elections, not candidates. Who needs a good candidate when you can just hire an army of attorneys. :|

Yeah this FL nonsense is setting a precedent for winning close elections through judification (another Bushism?). Pretty damn scary if you ask me. Though if the system functions properly it will allow itself to be corrected so in the future we see better and stronger laws to prevent a party from doing what Gore is in FL.

Also, I'll wager the key states like FL, CA, etc. with monda electoral votes will soon be infested with partison Ds and Rs all trying to gain and/or secure positions of power. These would be key positions in both the legislative and judicial sides and well as the lowly &quot;volunteer&quot; slot. SUre, they always do this to some degree but I reckon future elections may be close like this one. As we've seen in FL, having your party's influence at the county level on up is certainly helpful for one's bid for the Throne.
