They're incapable of caring until it impacts them directly, IE, them or someone they're very close to (sister, daughter, that sort of thing). It's the conservative way.

Exactly, like the Mennonite couple I posted about the other day. Lost an infant daughter to measles. 'Oh well.' Still won't vaccinate the dead girl's siblings, that would be bad for them. No regrets.

Funny story in Paraguay Mennonites mostly uses vaccines and lives a normal life, they are only having the old style of life, but using the advantages of the modernity.

They should be more radical Mennonites or even be Amish in disguise.
