By WHOM?!? You fucking clown.

You continue making these assertions that simply are not true, and acting as if you are somehow wiser for blaming Democrats for RW'ers creating a boogeyman and strawman to rile up the base.

Who are these supposed Democrats that pushed so hard and loud for it to be in every classroom? You can't show me because it's bullshit.

Being a registered Democrat voter doesn't mean you aren't a dipshit.

Are your feelings hurt? Because they seem to be judging from the amount of childish epithets you're employing.

CRT came about in 1995. Hardly historic.

Black History is actually history. I don't care about Conservatives hijacking anything.

As a Black Man, I am chiefly concerned with not having any Black person having to become Mordecai Anielewicz when racists decide to make their move to take over the country.

He never said CRT was historic, but that it's been around for a lot longer than the conservatives have created outrage to it. Outage which you insanely think is justified btw.

Completely bonkers.

It is important to understand the origins of CRT if you want to accurately understand what is currently happening. Progressives have not been pushing for CRT to be taught in grade schools. Progressives have been pushing for accurate history to be taught in grade schools. Conservatives have been attempting to label accurate portrayals of modern history relating to race as Critical Race Theory (which it is not). If you care about black history, then you should be concerned about Conservatives hijacking this term, because if they are successful schools may be prohibited from accurately teaching about black history.

Or, if we want to discuss the actual thread topic, they're labelling these graphic novels for middle school kids as teaching CRT. They don't.
So we have some award-winning graphic novels written by a POC, about the experiences of a POC child in a primarly white middle-school being banned in these schools because the conservatives are hijacking CRT to mean "whatever we want it to mean!", and Lezunto doesn't care if they do it.

They've already started. Like stated in another thread Jan 6 was a pre-amble. Just like the trunk bomb on the World Trade tower in 1993

No, I just realized you are nearly as much a clown as the rest of the idiots riding around in circles in a tiny car. Same methods, same idiocy.
You push FUD, so you can fuck off just the same.

"Defund the Police" was a stupid slogan to begin with. "Reform the Police Budget" is more accurate and would have provoked discussion. And opponents would have learned it would lead to the hiring of more mental health professionals.

The poorly named "Critical Race Theory" was never promoted as it should have been: As a university or college class.

By hinting it was going to be shoved down the throats of every school child, any classes linked to this generated a nasty and visceral racist reaction. All that did is harden the resistance of anti-Black bigots.

No it wouldn't and no they wouldn't. The people interested in discussion were having it, and the average moron intentionally chose to not learn it because they're not interested in a discussion, they choose to be ignorant. You're delusional if you think a different name would have mattered. Right wingers still would have said its getting rid of police. They were saying that about BLM before defund the police was even a slogan.

Poorly named why? Because racists can't understand it? Like that matters since they intentionally are choosing to not understand it. What a crock of shit. No one "hinted it would be shoved down the throats of every school child" but racist pricks.

We can see who you are, FYI. You're not fooling anyone.

We definitely don't want unity with DINO's like you that spout misinformation that literally echoes that of GQP'ers. I mean the last thread where your misinformation got called out with a news article and actual quote from Sanders, you simply said, well I don't see it that way and that's that. Exactly like what an anti-vax Trumper would do when confronted with evidence, or a Stop the Steal Trumper would do when confronted with evidence.

Please show us from a non-biased source how critical race theory was pitched loudly to be taught in all classrooms.

He's not a Dem or a liberal. Look at his posts, they're all shitting on liberal stuff being too liberal while he claims he's a liberal. This is just bullshit #walkaway nonsense yet again. I have a hunch its an alt account (noticed a certain of the clowns has been very vocal again recently, and also noticed a couple of the others have gone silent). Maybe they learned they can become Kochheads and earn some money spewing their nonsense everywhere they can.

Yet another chapter of racist Republicans trying to remove black history from the history of the United States. I give you Ruby Bridges. This picture is iconic in black history of this little girl requiring FBI escort just because she wanted to attend school.
ruby.jpg

To be more accurate white people didn't want black kids going to the same schools as their precious little white kids. A court order said she must be allowed but a bunch of ignorant racist white people (let's just call them the majority of today's Republicans) made so many threats to kill her it required an escort.

Ruby Bridges wrote a book about her experiences, real history. And right on cue Republicans are labeling it CRT trying to get it banned from schools. Ironically Ruby who at six had to walk through a gauntlet of angry white people just to attend school. Now an adult Ruby is facing another angry mob of racist white people just because she wrote a book about that event.

Parents criticize Ruby Bridges book in debate over CRT, Tenn. curriculum (yahoo.com)

Racist Republicans continue on their quest to whitewash blacks from American history.

Anyone here care to deny this is what Republicans are attempting? Feel free to disagree as long as you can justify your position

Where would the GOP be if it weren't for racism. And where would racism be if liberals were successful in creating an economically just society where people didn't have to struggle like animals to protect what little we allow the poor to have to stave off further poverty. Keep them poor, afraid, and full of rage that someone other than those who are winning in the system as is are to blame for the misery of their condition.

When you can see right before your own eyes what black poverty looks like, it is easy to get people to vote for no change in the system because people can be easily pursuaded that any change will be for the worst as the GOP continues and has succeeded for a long time to run America down hill.

That was only sixty-two years ago. AmeriKKKa history has been whitewashed since its founding.

Racism collapses the moment people see others as themselves. This happens when we awaken from a dream in the search of our true self.

I just do not get it. Black History is part of U.S. History.

But there is definitely an effort to erase Black History and curtail the knowledge of Black achievements.

Black Authors' books being yanked from school libraries

Nothing new. History is written by the victors. There is a whole level of hidden history that we do not know about. The native Americans have had much of their history white-washed. The same can be said of all minorities in the US.

That is not to say we haven't come a long way, but we've got a long road ahead of us. Today's GOP is actively trying to drag us back to the stone ages.

History is always written by the victors? Until it's truthfully and factually challenged.

I've never accepted Supremacists' version of what they label history. And few aggrieved or oppressed people ever will either.

Because history can also be preserved by survivors of genocide. And often is.

History is also rewritten by people in power. Clearly white Republicans cannot be trusted with that kind of power.

They can't even be trusted with the history of Jan 6 and that was just over 1 year ago. How can they be trusted with the past 250??

I lived long enough to know that if a single crime statistic goes up, the Republicans have yet another campaigning vehicle. It's the 70s repeated. Got the Dems so scared they passed shitty legislation, that was so bad Biden is embarrassed to talk about it because he supported it.

Too bad I used to enjoy vacations in Florida.... at this point I'll never set foot in that cesspool of a state again unless things change drastically.

AmeriKKKa has had 157 years after the Civil War, and it still hasn't learned shit. Some people in AmeriKKKa don't want to know the truth and go back to the good old days.
The desire not to know the truth is pretty universal. Truth isn't a bunch of words on some topic, it is a state of consciousness reflected as being. All of human belief is created to mitigate against the potential realization of that state.

AmeriKKKa has done everything to whitewash history and now Republicans are passing laws to ban CRT which is not taught in the K-12 grades. The only reason they're doing this is that they want to rile up their ignorant base and they don't want Suburban Susie's feelings to get hurt .

Remember if you don't teach it or talk about it, it never happened. Then Republicans can proclaim, what are those darkies complaining about?

Yet another Republican bill to ensure whitey's little kids don't feel bad when they are taught the full truth. I guess once this bill becomes law the history of the Tulsa Race massacre has to be stricken from the textbooks and lesson plans

Yikes, the "fuck your feels" crowd on full display
