IF its true, none of us are surprised. Democrats have been saying it for a while now, and deep down inside most Republican voters know its the case even though they cannot admit it. the funny thing is they frequently get caught saying such things and no one seems to care. Somebody a while back spilled the beans on them actively stopping black Americans from voting and literally no one in power did anything about it.

We the people are the ones who have the power. Unfortunately 40% of we the people are unapologetically racist.

Don't sell them short, they are against democracy and all forms of equality as well as individual rights of people they don't like as well.

As demonstrated by Trump and his followers.

remember when that Kevin McCarthy guy, when he spoke public truth about Bengazi = pure gaslighting for the brandonbull and Felix sheep of the world? Lol. Bitch said it in public.

Spent 10s of millions of their own money to gaslight them into wetting the bed for about 12 years, and then laugh about it. In public. To their faces...and they fucking begged for more. They slopped it up and they still do. Just look at these pieces of shit post here. They are fucking goddamn lost.

lmfao.

Republicans. What abject scum.

Yeah but racism what enables them to embrace the fascism. It's hard to sell fascism to people unless they think the fascism will always be directed at someone else and not them.

This is like the tenth time they have been caught admitting their voting laws are about suppressing unfriendly votes. They don’t care, their voters don’t care, and the voters that do…well…their votes are suppressed.

This article is no revelation. That have been many instances of Republicans admitting election law changes are not about fraud but about helping them maintain their minority advantage.

I've been posting this clip for almost 10 fucking years yet Trump suckers are still claiming voter fraud.

Of course they are not. They are the thing they are claiming to be against--an attempt at fraud. The GOP is engaged in a large-scale effort to steal elections in this country, and they are probably going to succeed due to local governments who lack an ounce of honesty.

This is the Republican way and has been for a long time; it was perfected and made really famous by Karl Rove. That thing you are outraged about, do it yourself and do it really well under cover of your outrage.

This is what made Trump such a perfect GOP avatar. He's all about getting over at any cost, and that's what those voters want. Doing the right thing is for losers.

I'm pretty sure it was done better and more famously by Goebbels. He's even quoted saying something to that extent that Britain and France had done this to Germany and it worked really well.

I just saw an interview with Raffensperger on MSNBC yesterday. He wants to make it both ways. Yea, we had 3 complete audits that showed virtually no fraud, but people were CONCERNED about fraud. Of course all those accusations were pure Republican lies. So why the need for news voting laws bub?

Georgia elections chief writing book critical of both Trump and Abrams (msn.com)

He's saying that because Trump is trying to get him ousted and he wants to keep his job. In other words, while he isn't quite as much of a coward as most of his GOP counter-parts, he's still a coward who is first and foremost concerned with self-interest.

Probably true. And guessing this kind of thing has been done throughout history, because humans are ignorant gullible tribal monkeys when you get down to it, and the shitheels among us have always been able to take advantage.

Donald Trump

“The things they had in there were crazy,” Trump said this week of Democratic voting proposals. “They had things, levels of voting that if you’d ever agreed to it, you’d never have a Republican elected in this country again.”

Paul Weyrich, co-founder of the Heritage Foundation and the Moral Majority:

“Now many of our Christians have what I call the goo-goo syndrome — good government. They want everybody to vote. I don’t want everybody to vote. Elections are not won by a majority of people, they never have been from the beginning of our country and they are not now. As a matter of fact, our leverage in the elections quite candidly goes up as the voting populace goes down.

Phyllis Schlafly on why they want to get rid of early voting:

“The reduction in the number of days allowed for early voting is particularly important because early voting plays a major role in Obama’s ground game. The Democrats carried most states that allow many days of early voting, and Obama’s national field director admitted, shortly before last year’s election, that ‘early voting is giving us a solid lead in the battleground states that will decide this election.’
“The Obama technocrats have developed an efficient system of identifying prospective Obama voters and then nagging them (some might say harassing them) until they actually vote. It may take several days to accomplish this, so early voting is an essential component of the Democrats’ get-out-the-vote campaign.”

Jim Greer, former chairman of the Florida GOP:
The Republican Party, the strategists, the consultants, they firmly believe that early voting is bad for Republican Party candidates,” Greer told the Post. “It’s done for one reason and one reason only ... ‘We’ve got to cut down on early voting because early voting is not good for us,’” he said.

David Ralston, Speaker of the Georgia House

Referring to democrats trying to make voting easier.

“This will be extremely devastating to Republicans and conservatives,” Georgia State House Speaker David Ralston said this week, citing proposals that will “certainly drive up turnout.”

There are many, many others. Articles have been written about republicans saying the quiet part out loud since the 90's.

I've never been able to get that Paul Weyrich quote out of my mind since I heard it way back when. They don't believe in majority rule/democracy, and never have.

Yeah, and just look at how Weyrich mocks the very concept of "good government." It's pure theocratic fascism, laid bare.

Trump wants the Governor of Texas to start an audit of the 2020 election in Texas - A state he won.

Trump Requests Election Audit In Texas—Which He Won (forbes.com)

Along with criticizing Republican Senators Mike Lee and Lindsey Graham for not doing enough to support his fraud claims. Graham was so upset he had a hair out of place.

Trump Sends Out Three Increasingly Furious Late-Night Statements in 77 Mins (thedailybeast.com)

This rant was most likely triggered by interviews Graham and Lee did for Bob Woodward’s book, interviews where they said Trump’s election fraud narrative was unhinged bullshit.

So glad they told that to Bob Woodward and not the American public after the election...

This may shock you to learn but Republicans do not actually campaign or govern on the idea that they will improve the lives of their constituents.

Nope, it's always been about making those who don't look like them or agree with them suffer. Women, minorities, gays, liberals, non-Christians, etc. They are electoral masochists catering to an increasingly smaller (but very vocal) basket of sociopaths.

That lady who complained that Trump was hurting the wrong people really encapsulated it perfectly. They want their leaders to make their enemies suffer much more than they want them to improve their own lives.

It's like the old saying how happy farmers might see that their neighbor got a new cow and would wish they had one too, while unhappy farmers would instead wish their neighbor's cow would die.
