a viewpoint i agree with

Why is it that liberals forgive Jesse Jackson for fathering illegitamate kids, forgive Al Sharpton for being involved witih organized crime, forgive Bill Clinton for taking advantage of an intern, and forgive Senator Bird (D) for being in the KKK, but they can't find it in their heart to forgive Trent Lott for saying some things that he should have used better judgement on, and can't forgive him for a position he held decades ago with a stupid frat. Not only are they wrong to atttack him unrelentlessly, but his apology is not good enough for them to let him keep his position as Majority Leader, but Bill Clinton's apology was enough for the Democrats and Liberals not to convict him. This is completely and utterly 2 faced. And there is a HUGE difference between saying something wrong, and committing a crime like Clinton and Sharpton, or fathering an illegit child like Jackson. Hell, Bird was an active member of the KKK, and Al Gore's dad was a BIG TIME segregationist that had ! full suppoort from his son!!!!!
Anyways, I guarantee there are lots of members of Black Frats that try to keep out whites, even some high profile ones, but you will never hear about that now will you?

Fathering illigitimate children or having sex in the President's office are both a far cry from wanting to subjugate (sp?) millions of people.

So like Bird and Gore's dad then.

Byrd was elected fair and square, but he is not in the race to head the Dems. Lott however is for Reps.

Gore Sr., I don't know the time frame when he was in Congress, someone tell me...( no flaming)

Truly. It's as if the conflict between sides is more important in politics than any issue or group of issues. Still, it's better these cromagnon's duke it out here in virtual space instead of in public parking lots.

Actually, I'd prefer that hardline right and left wingers did duke things out in a parking lot. They could kill each other, and then the rest of us could get back to life. I'm tired of listening to the extremists bickering.
