Dean defends remarks about GOP

Dean told a forum of journalists and minority leaders Monday that Republicans are "not very friendly to different kinds of people, they are a pretty monolithic party ... it's pretty much a white, Christian party."

I think this guy just likes controversy.

Since he represents this White Christian Party He should just Resign!

Stand up and be proud of your White Christian background like the proud father of your children that you are!



What is wierd is this guy is trying to say it is somehow wrong about being White and Chrisian.

What is sad is that today you can say this and it is fair game. What if Rove or Mehlmen were to say that the Democrats were the party of blacks, the poor, and the old. I am sure that Jessie Jacksssson would have been going NUTS.



I do love Dean though. He has now managed to piss off the nearly 50% of the US Hispanic population that now identifies as Republican. Add in a few Christian black voters and the Republican party is not looking too white.

What is odd is that the Republicans seem to be the only party that can get minorities to any level of power. When is the last time the left appointed a black Supreme Court justice, a black Secretary of State, a hispanic anything, and on and on, the list is a mile long. Thier race baiting is wearing thin, along with the rest of the 60 year old battle plan.

The DNC really needs a new plan or they will be resigned to history.

I am married to a minority by the way. Fine upstanding woman I met in Korea. I love here more every day. Even she has some of the same ideas. Since she has been racially discriminated against by other minorities, I have a better understanding about what is going on.

They have to keep black folk hooked on crack and put into jails to keep race riots down....corporate bubblegum rap to kep them in the ghetto.

these folks are scared in the midwest...they are afraid white will become a minority so they lash out against anyone different....live in gated communitys...

and vote for a father dictator figure.....while the whole time harboring straight up racist views right under the surface....

Thats ok sooner or later you will be a minority...and once again scared white folk make a big drama scene over nothing...

Nothing like being black...being korean is pretty close to being white....not even the stigma of being a mexican..... and yes other minorities are racists too, it is not a white only thing, just scary when scared white folks do it as they have so much available to them as far as money and weapons to make other minorities life a living hell.

Odd, Bush got one of the strongest black turn outs in history. If anything, the tide is turning and blacks are beginning to realize that every four years the Democrats need them. Then they tuck them away for four more years and work up another list of promises that they have no intent to fullfill.

What have the Democrats really done for black voters in the lst fourty ot fifty years? Hell, they didn't even want to give them Civil Rights.

Go to any white rural community and ask them what they think of Kerry. You don't have to represent what the majority of your race does...

Considering that the Democrats had almost sole control of power since 1940 and that the media (and this bubblegum rap) is majority left - don't you think you are blaming the wrong people?

Seriously, get some meds, because you have just contradicted your whole life philosophy. You are pissed, but you have no clue as to who to be pissed at. You would think that after getting screwed for sixty years (since the Dems started the race baiting game) the black community would begin to figure it out.

What is even more painful is that the black community is probably realizing now that all of the successful blacks are Republicans. There must be something to it.

It's not the GOP's fault the Dem's aren't appealing to Black voters as well, like you have pointed out.
It is up to the Dems to create policy that attracts this voter base if they want it.
