Ok so SCOTUS just ruled Trump cant be tossed off the ballot cause reading is hard.

Suppose he loses the election but good ol' Johnson deems the whole election invalid and throws it to the house...how plausible is this scenario? I recall they wanted to test the waters on that, what is their mechanism?

No chance in hell that is going to happen or even be tried.

Your American Republican Party doesn't exist anymore other than in name!

You've been given how many indicators now, yet you refuse to believe it's happening.

The human mind has an incredible ability to deceive itself.

We were here 8 years ago..

And it seems you're still there, but they're not. They've gone down the Trumpanzee hole for 8 years now. You really expect them to grow a spine??

One of us is deluded and it's not me!

Really? Do you have anything a bit more factual and less biased.

" The Hartmann Report:

“Thom Hartmann is a powerhouse in progressive thought. An absolute must read for liberals everywhere. ”

Just like no chance a sitting president would organize storming the capital, fake electors, file dozens of baseless lawsuits, pressure his VP to not certify election results, etc, etc, etc.

Yeah absolutely no chance.
Pcgeek lives in a willfully ignorant fantasy world of Fox News. He wants democracy to end so people like him can dominate women and society.

Actually the burden of proof is on you!

I don't need another insurrection to prove they're all insurrectionists!

Wait, Johnson isn’t in charge of the congress in January of 2025 until the members elect choose the new speaker. So how can he refused to swear in the new congress if it’s Dem majority?

New reps have to be sworn in before they can be seated. I have no idea what happens if the current congress expires and new reps havent been sworn in.

From over 4 years ago (sorry The Atlantic is paywalled):

Some reforms were passed in 2022 after the J6 insurrection, but I don't see anything that addresses what happens if the House GOP conference goes full MAGA, forcing a Constitutional crisis.

Don’t you recall the shitshow when the spineless one after 15 rounds of voting? The congress wasn’t sworn in until after he officially became speaker. Nothing to do with the prior congress.

I'm sure we can 100% totally trust this guy not to decide that God has given him an opportunity to appoint to this nation someone who would be willing to usher in an authoritarian theocracy, if such a chance arises...

LOL seriously?
Notice he laughs at people calling him out for what he is with the emoticons. He is old, pathetic MAGAT who hates women (as he admitted in another thread) and is clearly unintelligent, purveyor of hours of right-wing news a day and laughably bad troll. Notice he doesn’t address any of the points because he knows he can’t.

How sad pcgeek is. The bigliest sad of them all. I mean I have heard many people say. The best people, the most beautiful people.

God damn @pcgeek11 that was a hell of a wild concern you had........

No, you are not alone. I am not happy with everything Trump does / says, but I refuse to vote for a Trojan Horse candidate. I don't think Joe would last a year before they dump him with the 25th amendment. Nancy is already warming it up.

Guarantee he said the same thing about women on subs, probably rationalizing it because of their vaginas. "Its science, that's just how vajayjays work, can't be done!"

You don't even have to show his posts to know what arguments he makes, as its the exact same ones he's been making the entire time. Not even joking, some of his arguments are like 15 years old but he continues to stick to them even after he even admitted they were wrong at various points. It was vaguely funny til it just got stuck on repeat and he wants to relive his days of getting his balls punched til they're black and blue. Every so often he does a really good clown routine that makes it worth seeing what ridiculous nonsense they're on (last time for me was when he raged about women being allowed on submarines and how it ruined the Navy for him).
