And what do you do for the federal workers without pay? Who has months of savings built up to work for free? Republicans also obviously have zero shits about starving people with SNAP or making federal workers work for free. What is the path to victory?

You tell them don't show up to work if they're not gonna get paid and we don't have a functioning air travel system for the holidays. Elections should have consequences but instead the dipshit Democrats want to bail the GOP out again.

We don't know yet. There are still a couple very special Republican senators who could ask for something special and kill it. It also has to clear the House again. If the vote there is tight, expect special Reps to find reason to be special.

We're not funding science, not funding education, not funding disaster relief, not funding healthcare, not funding food for the poor. I mean what the fuck are we getting out of our taxes? Bombs to Israel to genocide more brown people and a bailout to Argentina because Trump's billionaire partners in crime lost their asses betting on their dipshit libertarian president.

Hard to believe this song is old enough to go to county and yet seems even more on point today

For real. Walmart was not gonna stand for the food stamps being cut off for long and they fund the hell out of the GOP. Nearly 26 cents out of every dollar spent on SNAP goes into their filthy pockets. Cuck for once had real leverage, what a piece of shit.
 
I can see the Republicans in Congress claiming victory over this and not thinking of the consequences of their actions because the only thing that mattered to their MAGAts that put them in office is owning the libs whether it's true or not. As well, Trump riding the GOP legislator's asses hard gave them no options to speak of other than holding out no matter what.

Seems to me the ACA is now dead and gone with the Democrats fully owning it, unless of course they stand up a veto proof majority in both houses of Congress come the midterms.
 
Question being, why did these 8 Democrats jump ship in the middle of a Republican generated hurricane and give up the fight? What are these 8 Democrats getting in return for their apparent treachery?

Granted, It does seem that these "Hateful 8" turncoats have been judiciously picked intentionally or otherwise as every one of their terms aren't threatened at this point in time. However, if they're being intentionally thrown under the bus in this way as part of an overall strategy by the Democrat leadership these sacrificial lambs are certainly headed for the BBQ pit somewhere down the line.
