The desperation is getting worse, wow, and still so many months out.

again, who is the President here?

McClellan sounds like a cry baby loser on the playground.

3-15-2004 White House asks Kerry to Prove he has Foriegn Leaders Backing him

Kerry should identify the leaders who purportedly hope he beats President Bush in November, White House spokesman Scott McClellan said. "Either he is straightforward and states who they are, or the only conclusion one can draw is that he is making it up to attack the president," the spokesman said.

Three times, McClellan repeated the charge that Kerry was "making it up."

"This is not the first time he has refused to back up his assertions," McClellan said.

McClellan's remarks came a day after Spanish voters ousted the conservative party that had strongly backed Bush on the Iraq war.

Asked whether the Spanish election results gave credence to Kerry's claim that some foreign leaders want to see Bush booted from the White House, McClellan chuckled.

"I think that if Senator Kerry is going to say he has support from foreign leaders then he needs to be straightforward with the American people and say who it is that he has spoken with and who it is that supports him," McClellan said.

Kerry told reporters, "They're trying to change the subject from jobs, health care, the environment and social security. They don't have a campaign so they're trying to divert it."

More desperation, Last I checked Bush has been President for last 3 years, Bush looking at some sort of time warp where Kerry has already been President???

3-12-2004 Bush Ad: Kerry Wrong on Taxes and Defense

WASHINGTON - On the air for just a week, President Bush launches the first negative television ads of his re-election campaign on Friday, accusing Democratic rival John Kerry of being "wrong on taxes" and "wrong on defense."

3-11-2004 Bush Unveils Negative Ads Against Kerry

President Bush will unleash his first negative ads against John Kerry on Thursday, accusing the Democrat of seeking to raise taxes by $900 billion and wanting to "delay defending America"

3-11-2004 Kerry Won't Apologize for Comment on GOP

Rep. Jack Kingston, R-Ga., said, "We see John Kerry as Ted Kennedy on a South Beach diet."

3-8-2004 Conservatives Run Ad Parody Against Kerry

A conservative group headed by one of former President Clinton's harshest critics is airing an ad that pokes fun at presumptive Democratic nominee John Kerry's haircut, designer clothing and property holdings.

Citizens United, headed by former Republican congressional aide David Bossie, began airing the ad ? a parody of MasterCard's "priceless" commercials

The ad shows Kerry, boats at a marina and oceanfront property as an announcers says: "Massachusetts Senator John Kerry. Hairstyle by Christophe's $75. Designer shirts: $250. Forty-two foot luxury yacht: $1 million. Four lavish mansions and beachfront estate: Over $30 million."

Another shot is of Kerry and Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., with the words: "Another rich, liberal elitist from Massachusetts who claims he's a man of the people. Priceless."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course they fail to mention he is married to the Heinz Empire heirous and everyone knows that already.

How are republicans now desperate? The public should know who they are voting for.

and it's convenient how you skip this part...
"The vitriol that's being used by the left in their hatred of the president ? and the man himself ? seems to come through in their ads," Bossie said. "We wanted to counter that."

I think President Clinton got a $125 dollar haircut on Air Force 1 once.

I remember that, he actually got one of those pricey guys that acts like a girl from Hollywood to fly on A-Force1 to do his hair.

Well this will start a stupid cycle of ads. How many ads could you do like this for Bush?

"An eight ball of coke to snort with your friends over the weekend: $1000. Failed owner of the only three oil-businesses in Texas not to hit oil: $0 (Dad's money) A fraudulent war eroding the capabilities of the military to fight real terrorists and burdening the American taxpayer: $200,000,000,000. Using Daddy's connections to save your yellow-belly ass from Vietnam: Priceless." Or perhaps, "Finally striking Oil in Iraq, and getting large campaign contributions in return: Priceless."

You could go on and on and on with these for both sides. Should be a good cat-fight.

I like most of the ad, but I think the ending can be more imaginative.

"Massachusetts Senator John Kerry.
Hairstyle by Christophe's $75.
Designer shirts: $250.
Forty-two foot luxury yacht: $1 million.
Four lavish mansions and beachfront estate: Over $30 million.
Having money to burn and still getting a big taxcut from Bush while the government is running a $500B deficit. Priceless"

:D

There are some things money can't buy. The Republicans aren't one of them.

We better have the DNC check into this "Citizens United" group to make sure they're not funding these ads illegally. :p

Trying to portray Kerry as elitist because he has expensive haircut? What do you call that?
This coming from a party that when someone asks them why their top priority is tax cuts for the wealthiest accuse the opposition of class warfare.

How has he saved the economy and for whom has he saved it? There are no new jobs in the U.S. and the deficit is staggering. And, if you think that blowing up Afghanistan and catching a 2-bit thug in Iraq qualifies Bush for re-election, then power to ya.

How much worse would the recession been without those tax-cuts? Remember the recession was mild comparitively and I think Bush's reaction to it was quite good. I'd hate to think what a BAD recession would have done, especially in light of 9/11. It could have been much worse IMO.

Yeah where is Dave and Co bitching about Kerry and his million dollar yacht, $250 designer shirts, most likely $4k tailor made suits and many many pieces of realestate....heck if you wanted a man of the people you should have voted for Dennis, he was the only one living in a house that was under $300K...Kerry's mass place is a mill plus...and Super, don't know where you are from but the most I have paid for my hair is like 20 bucks from a Downtown DC Barber and I thought that was steep...$75 for a mans trim IMHO is nuckin futz.
