Having lived in Taterland a few times over the years, I can attest to the fact that Idaho is indeed the West Virginia of the western US.

You're kidding, right?

I'm a pilot. My avatar was my squadron patch. I still have my skills.
I'm a retired A&P with Hughes/MD and Allison factory training alongside hundreds of hours of field MX. I'm in a WC but still know that ship inside n out.

Between us we could keep those animals in their place...

I'll likely need your help because I'm a rare gun toting liberal in Wisconsin. I suspect I would be overrun before help would arrive. I read somewhere that Democrats are buying guns in record numbers, you anti-gun slackers need to get with the program and man up and go out and purchase ;)

I'm starting to be convinced. Never have lived my life in perpetual fear, so I need to adjust.

I'm liberal and bought one 2 years ago due to Trumpism. Never before did I ever think of owning a gun.

Yes, if the day ever comes where conservatives start trying to kill liberals they will be sure to claim that the liberals made them do it.

I wish these guys would at least grow a pair and own their choices. If you want to kill people be man enough to say it, don't blame other people.

That is language for public discourse. It is "clever" enough to convince you not to strike first as they prepare in kind.

My whole problem with the gun purchase is the people I have deal with. I worked with a gun nut. He actually is a self published "expert" on I think it's the 1887, or 1888 Winchester rifle. This person has no self awareness so all I can take is his word and way too many phone calls and online activity during working hours, and an actual printed book, that it was true. He demanded to take off every year in July to go the annual Winchester Library or WTF to volunteer. It was always during my birthday. We were going to have a show down over it, since I ran the site, but my boss intervened and sent him back to the shipyard for basically being Bert!

Nope he wasn't lying. 4th addition, I'm impressed.

The Red Book of Winchester Values (4th Edition): Larry Shennum, Ph.D., Bert Hartman, B.S.: 9780692476802: Amazon.com: Books

Edit: Just talked to the guy who took over my job. He says the author is still working at the shipyard. Hm. Must not be a big money generator.

As I realized the last couple years how decrepit the GQP had openly come, I would have totally gotten a gun license here in NJ. Being bi polar, even though it's medicated and manageable, is still just a bad idea to have a gun around the house in case that depression hits hard. Been thinking about asking a buddy if I buy a good safe of I could just get a gun and keep it in his garage. That I may do

The educated gun nuts I'm actually not concerned with. Someone who knows that much about firearms, or some specific firearm, has enough respect for it that they aren't likely to just start blasting folks driving down the highway.

My concern is for the indoctrinated morons of America, who think that killing others to further their own goals is a good idea.

Personally I do want a split of the country. But negotiated. Or as MTG days, a divorce. Those aren't done with killing

I'm a liberal, was a cop years ago and still have my gun. I guarantee you I have more tactical training than 95% of the fat dumb hicks around here that think "Let's Go Brandon" is the most clever thing anyone's ever done.

Another stereotype instead of accepting what individual responsibility means.

No sane person can take you seriously when you do that.
Really? Other then Kinzinger, Cheney and Romney how many Republicans will admit the Jan 6 insurrection was wrong?

Most of them. I consider it inappropriate and criminal behavior from those who participated, but there's nothing to "admit" except from those who took part.

Just as the views of a few conservatives don't reflect the views of others, the views of a few liberals, in say P&N forum for example, don't reflect the views of other liberals. The nutjob extremists from both parties are the exceptions, not the majority.

More have publicly supported it and the big lie begin it then have denounced it. People who immediately after denouncing and then changing their minds doesn't count.

Republicans like Kevin McCarthy and Steve Scaliese are leadership not just "a few conservatives"

This is bullshit. Conservatives elect their nutjob extremists to the highest office, liberals elected the most boring old centrist they could find. An "exception" doesn't get 70+ million votes.

^ Trump was elected because Hillary was even less popular.

A person would have to be out of their mind to think that by electing someone, you condone everything they do from that point forward, even if it was one of their campain pledges. Voters still have to pick one candidate vs another, cannot vote on the individual pledges. If you think either party does *everything* right, you haven't been paying attention.
