They finally got the site up and taking orders, but now it's saying 30-60 days to receive your gear because they had such interest. A few on facebook and complaining about strange charges, like checkout was $105 but they got billed $110 or $115.

I guess they weren't kidding when they said beta.

hahhaha remembered this and checked back. was hoping for real service for 20 bux but no its youuse your own wifi. so what you paying for? NOTHING! you can do all this your self with any android phone.

Incorrect. You use your own wifi when its available, but the phone hands off to the Sprint cellular network when you're not on wifi.

o i c i was very wrong. I clicked sign up and its says all full.. said had to wait till january anyway when i clicked sign up, would be nice for someone that doesnt want to talk alot on the go otherwise they might cancle you.. just re read the diff tabs. "if go over usage then we will send you a letter and tell you how uch time you have to correct it" hehe hardly unlimited 🙁

My coworker has been using their service for a couple weeks now. He doesn't really have any complaints. The call quality is indeed good, it's pretty idiot-proof, and, obviously, it's dirt cheap.

not only that, but...

It’s not us. It’s you.

Everyone’s entitled to a bad day, week or month. Kicking the cell habit, however, isn’t for everyone. Membership here is a privilege. So, over time, if you don’t bring your CUI back into a reasonable range, we’ll help you find a more suitable, traditional cellular carrier.

lol

That means you can have unlimited voice, data, and text messaging while your phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network and limited use when connected to its partner Sprint's cellular network. Basic cellular limits are 550 voice minutes, 150 text messages and 300 megabytes (mb) of data. Those limits can be increased, though, based on your Wi-Fi usage. In other words, the more you use Wi-Fi, the larger your limits will be.

Does anyone in this forum keep up on the state of "Super Wifi"? (I've read a few articles, but that is it)

(Based on what little I have read) It would seem to me a plan like this would be especially good for that upcoming tech. The greater the access to Wifi....the greater the chance the plan will be "unlimited".

I got my phone 2 days ago and am happy with it so far (it will be the wife's phone soon, but I want to test it for a week or two and make sure it will be a good, easy-to-use option for her). Call quality on wi-fi has been fine, and the RW wi-fi setup app works very well to configure access points. The phone is a fine "beginner" smartphone. It feels nice in the hand, the GUI is reasonably smooth, and it has virtually no bloatware. The screen is pretty small, which my non-techie wife likes, but which a "power user" would not like. All told, I'm quite happy with the hardware and the service for $19/month.

They're using the LG Optimus One, right? 3.2in screen, 600Mhz Qualcomm, 512MB of RAM. Same basic phone as Verizon's Vortex, Sprint's Optimus S, Cricket's Optimus C, T-Mobile's Optimus T, Virgin's Optimus V?

Yep, the phone is pretty lame, decent with a different launcher, but it's no super phone.

Although, with Google Voice, it's a pretty decent back up phone... For $19 q month, I can drop my voice minutes to the smallest amount with Verizon.

I say that's expensive backup phone for $19 month and $100 for the handset. If you had Android phone you could simply use GrooveIP app for free calling through Google Voice using your phone data or Wifi. You wouldn't use any of your voice minutes and could drop your voice minutes to lowest amount. You can also use GrooveIP on your Android tablet and make and receive free calls anywhere you have Wifi.

Job requires I be on call, I've used a couple of different schemes, and they're not as bulletproof as a traditional cell plan, so I stick with it so far...

Am just playing with the RW phone, can resell it pretty easily. If they stay in business, I may kill my traditional line with Verizon.

Truth be told, I really don't use a phone very much outside of it being a data/texting device.
