I try to come up with clever responses like
NFS4 sued over searching practices

But you beat me to the punch, Mac.

Huh? I searched for eBay :(

This new search really doesn't seem that intuitive. The old search listed threads by date. This new search just seems to randomly throw threads around

Advanced Search offers the ability to sort by date.

So someone bids on an auction with a preset minimum bid incriment(sp?), then gets pissed off when eBay makes him abide by it? Greaaaaaaaaaaat.

I was just about to comment on the search also. It's pretty annoying about the dates... and it's not like you can sort it by date either. This is anything but a "quick search".

So which of you smart@$$es have the link to the original thread on ebay being sued ?

If it's a repost and you feel you must point that out, post a link to the original thread as it's obviously not easily located.

Anyway, the guy in the lawsuit is a total moron. He doesn't understand something, so his first response is to sue.

wtf? you can't bid against yourself.

if you bid $111 and nobody outbids you, you could raise your maximum to $112.50 or whatever, but that $112.50 would not appear to be the highest bid unless you've been outbid on the $111. that's how it used to be, unless they changed it recently....

regardless, that guy is an idiot. and how come it's a "class action suit?" how could there be more idiots like that?!

Take it to Forum Issues! ;)

Actually, I agree with you. Yeah, I know the Advanced Search has more features now, but I'm lazy and liked the Quick Search the way it was.
