Just thought that this is at least warm for people who wants to do word processing, net surfing and all the minor stuff on a laptop. This is perhaps one
of the cheapest around. BUT keep in mind this thingy does not have battery, OS, PCMCIA slots and is not built for gaming, and other more
processor instensive stuff. SO be warned. But if does have rj45 ethernet. If you want a wireless ethernet, CDRW, extra hddisk space and other expansion then it has got to be the 4 usb ports.
If you cant live if the 4 usb ports then dont even consider it.

As for warranty service and customer services I have no ideal whats its like. I am seriously considering buying it as I think its a cheap solution to be cool.

Hopefully it helps someone to be more productive.

Any comments are welcome. And flames away if you think this is a s h i t t y laptop.

If anyone know of any review around here that talks about this lappy PLEAse link it for us.


Assessmicro also have a slightly different celeron. for like 50 bucks more.

You may want to include the price of this laptop in the thread title. $715 for the Via C3 733 laptop($60 more for the battery). Shipping is approximately $16 for Ground, $18 for Fedex 3-day.
 
I hate to thread crap but there's been a few real laptops available for under $800 lately, including the Toshiba for $699. I would not recommend this system at all.
 
Valvoline: I totally agree with you. Somehow I wished that amazon didnt screwed me with my toshiba deal that I would have gotten the lappy for 699. "it still hurts"{weeping}
