Same here, can't wait to play with some new toys and not be freezing while outside.

Yea I know the feeling, I cannot wait to pull out the vacuum and give my car a nice cleaning!

Winter here in Mass just sucks. They don't use salt or even sand. They like to use pebbles and tiny rocks on the snow and ice. I find the stuff everywhere. You gotta hear my vacuum sucking all that stuff up.

You got to hand it to Bush if we do ever go to war. Brilliant military stragedy, get the enemy to disarm and THEN attack them.

Or what the US plants there and claims he was hiding. Yes, I don't trust your government. Besides, given the turn of events, he would be more than an idiot to get rid of all his nastier weapons.

You are an idiot.....If Sadaam would have taken care of this years ago he wouldn't be in this situation..

Ah bush, they will probably need to be trimmed to.

Oh, and I forget to mention, this was from Global National news, they're telling journalists to get out NOW and any other foreigners.

GOT Links??

Well, if you're naive enough to believe that Saddam disarmed, then I can understand why you think the world economy hinges on the Joneses roadtrip in their large, evil, gas guzzling, Alaskan wildlife killing SUV

a) My point was not to show that Saddam disarmed or didn't disarm, but that the Bushit has changed from "disarm" to "Saddam must be ousted"

b) You believe that this war teeters on anything other than oil? Who's naive now?

c) "evil, gas guzzling, Alaskan wildlife killing SUV"

I don't know about evil, but gas guzzling, wildelife killing, sure. Have any evidence to point otherwise?

Hagbard,

Only if your reading challenged. I said he should have gotten rid of the missiles, I didn't say he got rid of anything else, though he well might have.

Do you have a new definition of the word "disarmed" now?

Where did I say "disarmed" re: Iraq?

LOL.. at least partially disarmed but ya. Too bad it's a one spooge deal. Never again will we be able to get a nation to disarm w/o force.

Prove to me that this war is all about the oil. Tell me how the US is going to plant its flag and take over those oil fields. You claim it, let's see it.

why didn't America take over the oil fields in the first war

why hasnt America done much about the Venzula (sp?) situation they have lots of oil and a very easy to overthrow government from within.

I would second that.

BTW - I need to check the oil in my car.

Like the "infallible" evidence that Saddam is connected with al-Qaeda? Oh that's right, Bush and the CIA don't even seem to agree!

Or how about the straight out bold faced lie of telling us back in Dec 01, reports from the IAEA said to him Saddam was 6 months out from having nukes. Not only was this BS, IAEA said they never told Bush such a thing.

That's just part of it. Bush's entire case is self-serving and the rest of the world can see that. Turn off your tv's folks, you're being lied to.

The UN has tried for twelve years to get Saddam to disarm. It wasn't working.

Bush feels that way because he didn't disarm, and thus blatantly disregards international treaties. So even if he destroys 6 or 7 missiles now, how does that help?

b) You believe that this war teeters on anything other than oil? Who's naive now?

Of course oil plays into the equation, but I honestly don't believe that is the motivation here at all. Last Gul War, everyone was claiming that it was "all about the oil". Where is the all that oil that we won?

c) "evil, gas guzzling, Alaskan wildlife killing SUV"

I edited that out because I felt I made an unwarranted attack on you. You never mentioned anything in this thread about SUV's, and I really didn't know what you felt about them. I was generalizing.
Sure they kill wildlife, deer wander onto the road, and blam! Which other wildlife do they kill? They don't LET drilling in Alaska because of that.

I don't predict the future, but we will see in due time. One point perhaps...why is North Korea suddenly a non-issue? Seems to me that N. Korea would, logically, be percieved as a much larger threat as they brag about the fact that they have nuclear missiles and can hit the west coast with them. So far all that has been found in Iraq is shortrange missiles...which can hit, what? Iran maybe?

Right....he and many of this people would have been dead long before (oh, sorry, they are thanks to sanctions).

How do YOU know that North Korea is a "Non-Issue"???

No, they are thanks to a brutal tyrant for a leader who takes all the money to build himself his twenty eighth palace.

That's the only thing that has been found in Iraq? Are you sure you want to go on record with that statement? It's getting rather tiresome having to educate you on this situation but I will if you really need me to.

<< How do YOU know that North Korea is a "Non-Issue"??? >>

It's a non issue in that its recieving considerably less attention than Iraq at this point.

Well'p, there you go again! Its not just about oil, though control of oil for power (not fuel) is certainly one.

If you'd like me to continue to participate in a discussion with you, I'd appreciate you not patronizing me...

and...no, I dont "want to go on record" with that but can you honestly tell me that with nk's flaunting of nuclear weapons (when none have been found in iraq) it deserves as little attention it has been getting (compared with iraq)?
