Reporting software to replace Business Objects.

I really want to get rid of Business Objects XI. we have had nothing but problems with it and the licensing is fricken expensive. to license 1 duel proc with duel cores it cost just under 250K.

so i am wondering what reporting applications you people are using. the only other one i know about is Cognos.

i need a reporting app that can be accessed by customers in the cloud to run reports, also the ability to schedule reports.

Whats your database server? We are a SQL Server shop and use the SQL Reporting Services. The 2005 version allows users to create their own reports from schema you setup. It can schedule reports using a Subscription feature.
It can query other databases besides SQL Server, its just that its free with a SQL Server license.

Oracle bought Hyperion so if you are an Oracle shop, go with that. Cognos is now IBM's for 5B so expect it to be folded into DB2 just like MS folded crystal reports into SQL Server.

Of the 4 I like Hyperion the best.
