A Houston Chronicle reporter who was fired from her job shortly after being outed as a part-time stripper filed a federal gender discrimination complaint this week.
Sarah Tressler, 30, alleges that the newspaper let her go in March for failing to indicate on her employment application that she had worked as an exotic dancer.
‘I was very upset that I was fired because I had been told by many editors that I was doing a good job...There was no question on the form that covered my dancing. I answered the questions on the form honestly,’ Tressler said in a statement.

Tressler was employed full time by the newspaper between January 19 and March 27, covering high society, general assignments, human interest stories and fashion.
She previously worked as a freelance reporter for the newspaper, as well as for Us Weekly and GLOSS Magazine.
While working for the conservative Chronicle, Miss Tressler also anonymously wrote a personal blog called ‘Diary of an Angry Stripper’ that boldly painted a picture of her life dancing at local men's clubs, which she has been doing on and off since the age of 22, according to CNN.

During her time as a stripper I would imagine that she has entertained several of the other male reporters that work at the Houston Chronicle.

"The 30-year-old, who is also an adjunct professor at the University of Houston, said that she has already found a new writing job in Houston for an unnamed publication."

Good for her!

This was on the news when it happened originally - I was just waiting for the lawsuit. She didn't get fired because she was stripping - she was fired because she failed to notify them that she was holding a second job, which they require to know about.

Also, since Texas is a right to work state - she can kiss all our asses. She's blatantly trying to extort money from them, and it's apparent when her supposed "lawyer" brings up that she was fired because of her gender.

I don't quite understand the "gender discrimination" part. Was there a male reporter who is a male stripper who was not fired? It's not gender discrimination, it's stripper discrimination.

If a company has the employee names as part of the product, my opinion is they have the right to maintain the product's image how they wish to.

And didn't see Gloria Allred defending the teacher fired for being a retired porn girl.

Personally, I don't think she should have been fired either.

On reading the quote in the OP, I was all for her. However, the moment I see Gloria Allred, I always go back and re-evaluate my position and await further facts (not unlike whenever Jesse and/or Sharpton show up).

Their lack of credibility and concern for the "victims" is crushing.
