I think Mercata has had enough of people actually getting good deals from them--I've always thought their prices were jacked up pretty high (such that your Mercata $$ didn't make much of a difference). Now that we have the MSN 20%, they're raising their prices accordingly.

P.S. Remember when you could use Mercata $$ at 100%?? That was about a year ago!

Edit: Whoops... $700 is for the 60 hour model

Alright...did anyone else's order for the 3030 replay just disappear?

Mine was there...and the powerbuy ended and now nothing is listed under recent orders...

Anyone?

Yeah, same thing happened to me... but I'm trying not to freak... if you click on "Mercata$ spent and earned" at the bottom of the scary blank screen you will see "Reserved for PowerBuy offer (ReplayTV) blah blah blah" so it looks like it's in the system somewhere. Plus I got an e-mail confirming my bid... so I'm not too worried... my guess is that the database just hasn't had time to process our hundreds of orders and update everyone's accounts just yet.

Thanks Shotgun--

That is what I am thinking as well...I noticed the mercata $$ reserved part too..but I never received an email at all..and I used Netscape which wouldn't let me print anything without crashing...so I have no proof...and that doesn't make me happy.

:(

LOL It wouldn't surprise me if the Mercata servers were to crash and all of our Mercata orders and our Mercata $ were all lost, that would be bad bad bad.

Well they can have my dollar and change left over Mercata$, and I'll even pay the $2 or so it dropped after I bid as long as I get it! I got the e-mail and I'm not afraid to use it, hehe. I was able to maintain the Ebates banner at the top for the duration of the purchasing process, but I've never received anything from them and they've never worked for the 4 or 5 previous purchases I've made through them, so I'm not expecting to see that $20. Don't see a charge on my CC yet either, so I guess we'll have to wait a little longer. Man, I can't believe we all (hopefully) just got a supposedly $600 item for $200! This quite possibly might be the best rape-age since the VA days :)

HORRAY!!! I got the final e-mail as well... looks like all is well. I really need to quit ordering stuff on Friday though... its excruciating knowing that it'll be Monday before they even start thinking about shipping it. My shipping was less than yours so maybe I'll get it faster :D With the possible $20 Ebates, that'll round it out to a cool $200 even... sweet! It feels good knowing that I'm not paying The Man either, I'd much rather pay UPS, hehe. 'Specially when tax on this bad boy would have been in the range of $40.

Hmmm... I'm eyeing that "Discounts: $0.00" line in our e-mails... did we miss a possible coupon too??? NOOOOOOOOO... haha. $50 off $150 would have RULED on this one.

Mine shipped too and is expected to be delivered today. Unfortunately I am not there to receive it. I am willing to bet that they won't leave it on the door but then again, I have been fooled before. I guess I will have to wait until Friday. UPS does work on Friday, don't they?

Great news. That must mean that Mercata did not specify to require a signature. I hope "Mr. Porch" or "Mr. Rear Deck" signed for mine too.

"Mr. Rear Deck" doesn't sound too good, does it? :)

or you could just call you CC company, and add a 2nd shipping address to your credit card, and add your work address, and get it shipped there. (for future usage)

For those of you who missed out on the last "PowerBuy," Mercata has another one up for the ReplayTV 3030! Of course, the price starts at quite a bit higher, but we can get it back down to $500 or less if we get enough bids.

Anyone want to go for it?

Oh well, I have to wait a bit. Since it's en route from Arkansas, it will be next week before it arrives in CA.

DAMN! I didn't think they were gonna have another ReplayTV before Friday, so I placed a bid for the TiVo instead! Is there a way to cancel my order? Or should I stick with the TiVo?

I know you can cancel if the powerbuy isn't complete, because I've done it. Just say you pressed the button by accident. They'll give you some spiel about how bids are binding, but they'll cancel this one time for you, but it works.

I don't know about after the powerbuy. Maybe... just call them.

I was home from work today to sign for my replayTV (and Panny DVD player!). Both are AWESOME! ReplayTV was out of the box and completely set up in 20 minutes. They give you an amazing assortment of cables (except for coax).

I just paused live tv!!!
