I know this is posted in other threads, but i wanted to seperate it, since its a incredible deal!!!

Use Mercata Dollars for 20% off (new users to mercata get a free $100 to put towards a purchase of up to 20% of total...so its $100 for this unit), then you use the Microsoft Passport 20% off (when you are close to checking out, just look for the microsoft passport button, then click on it, and make sure you have a hotmail acccount that you can just use to get the extra 20% off)...which gives you 40% off the total order... you order will be around $319 total, then you add the replaytv rebate.....
Right now they are going for $219 after rebate. We can get it lower, if more people realize that this thing kicks mucho butt, and decide to get one. Great xmas present for dad!

I don't mean to rain on your parade but I just wanted to let you know that the 20% microsoft passport discount is taken after the 20% new customer deal, leaving you with 36% off rather than 40%. Still an awesome deal, but I didn't want people flaming you for misleading them into thinking they were getting a whole extra 4% off. I think I'm going to pick up a PDA instead. Great deal!

Dropped another buck....Keep it up! Remember, if you bid.. say $510.00, and it reaches that level, you get it for at least that much... but it could go lower, and you get the lowest price!

$510.56 - 2:40 Central Time

What's the lowest this may reach? Would I not get the deal if I put in a bid for $500?

Well I hope they don't run out of ReplayTV 3030's by tonight, I got very little sleep because of last night's excitement with this deal and the Buy.com DOTD 256MB PC100 RAM for $95 !!!

The MSN 20% off seems confusing, perhaps it'll seem more clear after eating some spaghetti and seeing "Red Planet" hehe.

Do I have to go through the MSN portal or do I just go to Mercata(dot)com and before I make my purchase I click the MSN Passport button? Of course I have to sign up with MSN Passport before doing so. But is it that easy or do I have to go through the MSN portal?

RossMan & everyone else...

I believe there is no need to go through MSN... send.com is advertising the 20% on their homepage, so I think you can do direct...or via ebates.com...:)

Have fun...

all i did was goto mercataa.com, started teh checkout process, and clicked on the microsoft passport button, then i inserted one of my hotmail email addresses ( any will work), and it asked me some more stuff, then it took me back to mercataa, with the extra $84 off, and i submitted the order.

Now at $499.xx, under $500... question - how does the quality on these compare with a Tivo?

These systems rock! this is by far the best deal ever on a 30hour replay tv....
now at $498 and dropping....(which ='s to about $224 for this system shipped!)

BUT!!! would we be losing some dough now that its below $500? 20% of $500 is $100, but 20% off say $498 isnt $100......

either way....its a classic hot deal

Will the $100 rebate be good if purchased from Mercata? The rebate form says from "participating retailers."

It says it on the Mercata site, but Mercata isn't listed on the TiVo site...

...just want to make sure...not that it matters now...just ordered one...

still...

Is there a difference between the ReplayTV and the Tivo? I ordered the 30 Hour Tivo. Is that the good one, or should I have gone for ReplayTV? Or are they the same?
