Replaying Stalker

Wow, this mod is awesome. Actually it is a collection of mods including Oblivion lost. Almost a totally different game than I remember.

Only thing is I cant quite seem to get the difficulty to where I want it. "skilled" is too easy. "Elite" is damn hard.

Fun stuff. Still haven't gotten Clear Sky - not sure I care at least until I finish this.

The new Inferno mod should be out this month, the author said the release date (this month, no specific day mentioned) is final, and I cannot wait for it. More information can be read in its thread (look at the last couple of pages of the thread for some recent videos of it on YouTube). The last feature he revealed in one of the videos he posted is a radio similar to that of Fallout 3's Pip-Boy radio, with which you can select radio channels to listen to different custom but well select and fitting Russian folklore music tracks during game-play.

Which mod collection (supermod or stalker complete) would you reccomend for someone who has never actually played the game for any real length? I somehow missed the bandwagon and did not get into the series until clear sky which I loved to death. After completing that three times I bought SoC but barely started it and got bored, something about the interface.

I'm ready to try again but don't want to deal with vanilla. Should I just go stalker complete to start with so I get the original story line or go supermod? Or do they both include the original story line?

Thanks for the reccomendations!

I would recommend the Complete 2009 compilation mod.

The complete mod does look nice as well and has many similarities with the supermod.

Supermod is a bit much , but so far I love it. Can even drive vehicles.

But it was pretty hefty I do not feel like un-installing it to download another one quite yet.

I would do some research on the Stalker forums and see what folks have to say about the 2 mods. Still alot of activity there.

Thanks for the info, I'll try the complete first.

Anyone know if you can pre-order the new stalker yet?
