I'm looking to replace the 2K3 Server with a more updated OS, due to the growing compatibility issues with new software being made.
Currently my 2K3 computer supports a 10-PC office with two duties - 5-User Quickbooks Enterprise via Remote Desktop, 500GB file server, and Microsoft Office software (remote desktop) for those PC's with no Office installed... done away with pirate ware many yrs ago ago
I see Windows Home Server 2011, Windows Server 2008, Windows Small Business Server... the list goes on. What would be a good server selection, one that achieves my usage target without breaking the bank? Any pros and cons? Thanks in advance
