If you like the Neo2, try the Neo4. I've had good experiences with that board.

I like my DFI but I don't really see why you are upgrading. You've got a great motherboard and the best AGP card available...

bjc112 : How can you let the platty go Nooooo :p .. this board has done a number of us here on anand proud but i suppose the NF3 and AGP are in need of a change.

I would recommend one of three options:

Either the DFI SLI EXpert (NF4) which is soon to be released this is going to be amazing!!!, and i am defo getting this !!

Or the new DFI Cross Fire if you wish to go ATI with the prospects of using Cross Fire.

Or maybe one of the new x16 NF4 Boards, Asus are currently bringing this new board first, basically its uses an extra chipset, the MCP and SPP to supply two full x16 bandwidth lanes in SLI, I believe this is really only for the avid gamer as it will not produce much more performance at all.

My Vote is definitely for DFI SLI Expert, as this improves a lot over the current SLI board, well basically I vote for either of the new DFI boards the Expert or the Cross Fire, I would say it depends whether you want an ATI or an nVidia GFX cards, I am personally going Expert with a 7800 flavour  :)

When is it supposed to be released?

I hate to get rid of this board, and i CANNOT believe nvidia or Ati will not release a high end AGP card.. So I am basically forced, which pisses me off.

Yikes, I might just go with the ultra D then.. I am planning on hoping up to a 512 GTX or 1800xt, one or the other, doesn't really matter too much..

My x850xt is acting up, and I have $350 store credit coming to me..

512Mb GTX = SHWEEEET

yeah the DFI's out now aren?t to bad .. but i personally would wait for the Expert, because it will be the best overclockers mobo no contest. The DFI Cross fire is supposed to rival the Expert in performance, same layout just different chipset, and it utilises a southbridge as well .. but i am not convinced.

The problem is, I think there still is not any sort of ETA on this product, although I would imagine this being out before xmas, at least I hope so.

:)

Going to jump on the Ultra-D!

Figure I can sell my Neo2 off at @ $75-$85

So I can swing $40 for that..

Ordered the Ultra-D..

Now I need to find a CompUSA with a 7800GTX in stock... Not worth it to jump to the GT..

I want nearly double the performance!

:(

I'm so sad to see you dump the Neo2.

Frankly, i love mine.
Best mobo i've ever touched.

But yeah, the Ultra-D is likely the best one for PCI-e.

I actually would likely go for the Abit AN8 Ultra myself though for the silent passive cooling :)
Plus, i know it's an OCing monster like DFI.

IIRC, DFI recommends not doing that.

But i imagine it should be okay.

Please keep us posted :)

I'll give it a shot, because I really don't want to have to dump my PSU as well.. Considering the GTX draws less power than my x850 as well!

Hey before you decide, check out Anand's new review on that ASUS 16x SLI board. Looks like a winner there...
