Replacing motherboard

Ok, so I'm thinking I want to replace the motherboard of my computer, but nothing else?

Do I need to reinstall the OS? or will WinXP just ask me for new drivers, etc?
 
It's a good idea to reformat after changing motherboards. I had problems even with identicle chipsets, just differant brands.
