replacing laptop screen.

I would like some recommendations, on someplace that does it right, and doesn't price gouge. If its relevant, it's an IBM Thinkpad R61i.

I know there are independent shops that do this. I have decided not to do it myself, although I believe I could.

Please recommend a place.

There are two models of the R611. It is a 7 year old machine. To have it replaced would cost more than the machine is worth. Unless you are willing to do it yourself, my suggestion is you save for a new Thinkpad.

Yeah, not worth the bench fee. Do it yourself.

I've swapped a few screens on laptops, it's usually not THAT hard. And the parts will tend to be fairly cheap on FleaBay.

It looks simple enough. Found the exact model screen on Amazon for $40.
i'm gonna do it.
