Replacing dead SSD

The 256GB SSD in my Vaio notebook has died and I need to replace it. I will also need to install the OS on the new SSD as I don't have a system image from which I can restore the system. The computer came with Windows 7 Pro pre-installed on it. What is the best way to replace the SSD and install Win 7 on it? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.
