Replacing dead 120mm fan--Replacement advice needed

I have the SLK3700AMB case, and I had a relatively fast 120mm fan in the back and a 120mm fan in the front that spun slower so that it would reduce noise. Well, the front fan stopped working :( but the rear fan easily picked up the slack, but I really want that front fan back. What I want to do before the summer is replace the rear and the front one with ones that won't spin loudly. Basically, I want some 120mm fans that run quiet, cool wonderfully and won't die :). I have been looking at Newegg's collection but I honestly have no idea which are considered by you guys to be a 'safe bet' so I thought I'd ask :).

What about those Vantec Stealth fans? Just give me some options here :). I can't afford to test different fans at different speeds, so if someone knows which could do this at certain RPMs, i'll be convinced:

CPU: 2500+ @ 3200+
Heatsink/Fan: Themalright SLK-800A with 80mm Smart Case Fan II
1 fast 120mm fan in rear
Temperature of CPU idle: 108 F
Temperature of CPU under load: 110 F
Before the front fan died, it was around 100-104 F.

Did I give you enough info? You can find my rig in my signature for more.

I have a vantec stealth in the front position in my sonata, and i didn't know how much noise it would add to my system, so i was a bit worried about putting it in there...but i put it in, and turned it on, then i had to look in the case to make sure it was indeed running. extremely quiet fan, and after adding it my case temp dropped by 2 degrees, and the CPU by 1 degree. the extra airflow is great, and like i said virtually silent. so while i can't give you any technical info per say, i can tell you i'm very pleased with the performance mine has given me.

I picked up a Papst 4412 FGL @ Directron when I cut a side intake into my case. No, it's not cheap, but IMO it was worth it. 120mm fans are already more expensive than their 80mm counterparts, so the extra couple bucks was easier to justify. I leave it on 7v and I never hear it.

I knew of Papst but completely forgot about Directron. I'm glad I asked!

Suppose i'll just go with what I know to be makers of nice, reliable fans. It seems as if there really are no opinions. I won't be buying one from the person that made this fan though :p.

The Pabst is nice, with it's 55 cfm to 26 dba ratio. But for my machine I used the Evercool Alumimum 120mm fan. It does 80cfm at 30dba, slightly louder but with a considerably larger volume of air movement.

yea IMO the papst is a good fan to go with but... you could always get a single rheostat or dual voltage switch which im sure directron.com has plenty of so you can have it run for cooling when needed and you can have it quite when you would like also... hope the idea helps at all dont flame me please i know everyone is aware of the options but theres the off chance he isnt lol

If I understood the blurb at Directron correctly, it seems that max airflow is not perpendicular to the plane of the blades. but "axial," whatever that means? I want a 120mm intake fan that'll blow max flow onto and around my hard drives behind the fan.

What do you find with yours?

Thanks.

bgmicro.com sells several 120x25 fans at excellent prices, but you may have to mod or add you own connectors. And they offer PayPal as a payment option...

Well I guess I forgot to say something, but I already decided on the Evercool Aluminum one.

Saw 4 or 5 notifications that there were new replies :p
