replacement for MW2...

Our PC clan is not getting MW2. What 'FPS' game candidates are out there now, or soon to be out, to replace it on one of our game servers? (We are currently playing COD-WaW and COD-MW)

Battlefield 1943 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 are both coming out in early 2010. There's always Team Fortress 2 which is a blast online.

Seconded. IMHO, This is one of the main reasons for the global hissy-fit over COD:MW2.

It's a long wait until March 2010 for Battlefield Bad Company 2. Then again, DICE is not well known for delivering on time either...

We still play Cod4 as a clan, and we are all getting L4D2. TF2 is still fun, as is some CoD5...
I look forward to L4D2, and if MW2 drops in price I might buy it for the single player.

Still have not found anything to replace MW2...guess the 'RAW: Rebels at War Old Farts Tactical' clan will continue w/ COD 4 & 5...

L4D2/Multi... I know NOTHING about it, 1st or 2nd one... a possibilty?

Unfortunately, you won't find a worthwhile "run 'n' gun" arena shooter. Epic Games pretty much put the kabash on that when they botched up UT3.

good stuff. Their blog is pretty nice too. I think I might reinstall BF2 and BF2142 and make sure I'm playing one of those on release day of MW2.

I like DICE as a dev house, they tend to release buggy games, but they will at least still work on and support them. I mean the BF2 1.5 patch gave everyone the euro forces and armored fury booster packs, removed DRM and rebalanced the game. I don't know of any other publisher besides CDProjekt Red that cares about their player base as much for this long a period of time (BF2 came out in Summer 2005).

I've recently gotten back into BF2 after a long time off and it's still a pretty good game.
