i have a steelseries siberia headset that's...seen better days.

atm it's held together with duct tape and popsickle sticks.

the sound has broken several times, but each and every time gets repaired by splicing in a new piece of speaker wire and soldering it in. maybe i should just rerun the entire headset with speaker wire from one earcup to the other...but i digress.

anyways, the problem is that both the earpads are..shot. the foam in them has packed down to the point that my ear is held almost flush against the panel in the earcup..and that's just not comfortable.

the earpads are featured here.

anyone have any ideas on how i might resurrect this headset? it's still good! the drivers still work! it cannot die!

i wanna keep this suede type material. tbh, if there was some kind of foam i could inject through a syringe into these to repuff them, then that'd be ideal. but i'm guessing it doesnt work that way.

and if anyone suggests i just get a new headset...well that's just not an option.

edit: oh, and wrt my manga downloading thread being locked. does that mean i actually spark moderator discussions in the back rooms? 😛 now i'm curious what kind of discussion my tranny thread got. haha
