Replacement client backup software that's in WHS

Could anyone refer to me a backup software that is comparable to the one found in Windows Home Server, that can clone Windows XP & Vista x64 systems and perform incremental/differential backups that won't take up tons of space.

To give some background, before trying WHS I used to just clone every workstation with a perfect install and then backup only the data to the server. That was fine in the beginning since I didn't mind redoing an OS if the system crashed since I would usually use that opportunity to update the system, get rid of crap that has accumulated, etc. Also hard drive space was a bit expensive then so I didn't want to accumulate tons of images of the various workstations.

Anyway, now hard drive space is cheap and I would like the ability to take incremental/differential backups. I know that Ghost & Acronis can perform incremental/differential backups via the network, but for $100 for WHS w/ 10 CALs, I'm wondering if there is another alternative out there for the same bang for buck or ideally open source/free.

If anyone knows anything, could you give me some input.

Thanks!
