Does anyone know where I can find a good replacement for the battery? Having an hour of battery life sucks!

Depends. If you still have Apple Care on it, take it to an authorized Mac dealer.

Hey guys. I was actually wondering if anyone could actually vouch for a good battery thats the thing. I was looking o amazon and there were alot of complaints about lack of functioanlity ie swapping battery in sleep or battery dying fast or not being level. So looking for a legit replacement that costs less than $130 that apple is asking but not necessarily dirt cheap. Thanks!

Applecare just replaced my 1.5 year old battery with a brand new one no problem. So happy I bought my MBP with Applecare included.

I just bought one of these used ones off ebay for $35.

It will be in today or tomorrow and I'll let you know exactly how used it is. I'm hoping its in the category of 'barely used' but my battery only lasts about 7 minutes so anything longer will be a major upgrade!

Hows about 28 minutes? 4 fold increase in life!

Back on topic, I got a cheap PowerBook battery off of ebay and it has been working well, but I have only ever used Apple brand batteries in MacBooks and MacBook Pros.

Honestly, as long as I could move it from one place to the other while downloading or uploading something, I would be perfectly happy.

Got the battery. Holds 5143mah of the original 5600. 4 and a half hours runtime at 100%. Couldn't be happier for $36 bucks being an original Apple battery. I'd reccomend taking the risk !
