Look in the BIOS setup - there should be a page of voltage, fan speeds and temp readings there.

One last question. How are the Sharktoon Silent Eagle "Golf Ball" Fans? They seemed to do well on the sites review.

The Sharkoon Golf Ball is made of Unobtainium here in the great USofA. But I'd like to try one someday - when and if...

Okay, fair enough! I'll give you that... :D

I dunno... this whole thing doesn't pass the smell test!

Someone is either fibbing and/or mistaken... and it ain't me!

No, I meant the 2000 black one w/white blade - I don't buy LED fans. That LED fan is the 1000 series - anything can be quiet if it only turns 1000 rpm and doesn't have to push any air (less than 40 CFM). Apparently XOxide has that one too (oops, that is only the 80mm and it's OOS) - why aren't they listed under the 120mm fans as I browse that section often and never saw them there? Not a bad price for having to do a direct import. I see by froogle that several companies have various Sharkoon now. But not the tested one. The 120mm 2000 model puts out the same CFM as the one you found at an even lower dBA and then proceeds on up to 75CFM if you need it. 'Twould be nice if we could buy them here. Still looking and waiting...

Thanks for the link - I probably will try one when P-PCs gets some competition to drive the price down a bit.

$25. shipped vs. $20. shipped for the 1011 with braided leads (unbraided and sleeved in patriotic red, wh and blue $1.00 optional) and your choice from five, 3-pin connector colors - true Molex off-white, blue, green (bright, maybe fl. or UV), generic white or old-timey, TV connector brown.

Glad to be of service. I'm deciding between the sharktoon and the Panaflo M1. Panaflo moves more air, but is noisier. The Sharktoon is slightly more expensive.

If you want to be able to monitor fan speed - Panaflos often lack speed sensing. You have to get one with the BX suffix and those are rare and often more expensive. Sometimes you even have to buy the 3-wire pigtail separately as they plug into the fan at the hub. Just FYI, napes.

It's a new fan, but lots of people believe it delivers more CFM for less DBA than the Scythe S Flex.

SilentPC Review debunked that. It is an ok fan, but nothing to get excited about.

Thanks, Jab-tech has the BX models actually - I'll get them there

jab-tech is one of my favorite places to shop. Good choice. I see that they have gotten in the medium and high speed yate loons (which are fairly hard to find here) along with several other new ones like the low speed ball bearing - probably better for some heatsink use as BB units are fine with horizontal or vertical orientation while most sleeve bearings prefer vertical operation.

Hey, first off, thanks for all the help you've given me so far Zepper. Whats the appropriate CFM for an exhaust / intake. I was looking at 76 for the exhaust and 67 for the intake. Would it be more beneficial to go for one of the 100+ CFM fans for the exhaust? Sorry I am asking so many questions; I typically don't replace fans.

Most cases would cool just fine with just a Yate Loon SL front and rear - those move about 20 cases full of air per minute. You could put a stronger one on the rear for some emergency extra cooling or put a stronger one on the front to try positive pressure. You know your current fans keep your case plenty cool, so you don't need much more than what they are, just quieter perhaps. You can look up your current fans either on the Adda site or in that test if you have the LL branded ones.

I have an older version of your case, the Lian Li PC-7A. It came with 2 - 120 mm ADDA (model #AD1212LB-A73GL) fans. They're rated at 72 CFM, 34.4 db, 1800 RPM at 12V. I don't find them loud, but everyone has a different noise tolerance. If your ADDA fans are a different model you can find their specs here. These are the only 2 case fans, not counting my PS and AC Freezer 64 Pro fans, I have running. My system temp, according to Speedfan, is 31 C, ambient room temp about 72 F.

My fans don't appear to be ADDA. Model#: LI121225BL-4 DC 12V .27A. I cannot find any information on these fans either. Anyone have any idea?

Yours is the L-L in the 26 fan test linked earlier. - Comment by author: "I don't like it much." About 56CFM with a pretty low slope. More noise at the same CFM than the Yate, but the yate only makes about 46CFM. John at jab-tech told me that the Yate medium speed isn't bad but the High one is noisy. The yate medium goes a bit over 70CFM and costs only 3.50. I'm mulling the idea of getting a selection of his new models to compare them against the famous one of which I have several.

Napes,

Would like to know if you changed your case fans and are happy with the airflow. I have the same case and am thinking
about it. too.
