That's right...I still used a Canon SD200. :D
Or I did, until the flash went. Time for a new camera.

I'd like something exactly like the SD series, except with more opticcal zoom. At least 5x optical. I could go up a little bit on the physical size.

I like the Panasonic Lumix series.....but I hate the .mov video format that they use.
Am I nuts for wanting avi format? I want videos stored in avi format, and for their size to be limited only by the arount of space left on the SD card.

How about the Nikon Coolpix S570?

Nikon's point and shoots are generally subpar.

Stick to Canon or Panasonic for small P&S cameras and you won't be sorry.

get a samsung bro, top cats be pimpin that around. its a katana or something for small cams, rest of competition just like pointy sticks with shit on'em. least until they bring out new replacement, mabe future canon come close

Canon has spoiled you.
You will be disapoint if you do not get another SD or G series Canon.

I recommend the G11, but it is significantly larger than your SD200.

Be careful of the <$200 Canon cameras though.
Canon is putting the Powershot name on all of their cameras... even their low end versions.

I'm also trying to replace a SD200 for my wife. There are quite a few SD powershots and am not sure which to go with.... sd780is,sd940is, sd1200is, sd1300is etc

any advice?
