I just looked in my 400w FSP, and it uses a standard 3 pin connector.
Most FSP units and other SMPSs have a resistor in circuit that drains the bulk cap.
Some of you guys worry way too much. I've had a dozen PSUs open and never once have I been shocked. But I'm not poking around with a paper clip while the unit is powered on.
OP? How do you know that the noisy fan is not caused by a bad or dry bearing.
