Not really. CU was a court decision. The only way you can overrule it is by constitutional amendment. How would you write an amendment that narrowly restricts the ability of these organizations to endorse candidates while not limiting the speech of, say, newspaper editorial boards?

If the congress is retaken by Democrats Pelosi will push for one. Vote Democratic and find out.

Citizens United is a natural outcome of granting corporations personhood. For any amendment to be effective it needs to destroy the personhood status of corporations.

What about unions? Should they be allowed to spend but the corps not spend, like it was before the ruling?

I'm fine with outlawing all lobby and publicly financing campaigns.

In fact I think it's the only way out of the mess the government and judicial branch have created.

Yeah, I guess your right, vote to do that. Destroying a corporation's personhood will be spun by Republicans like some sort of wild abortion argument, MURDERS!!

require a political ad to list the people/entities who funded it.

Full disclosure on that. should be enough.

still wouldn't stop it, all donations will come from shell companies that only have PO boxes. Limit donations to a few hundred per entity or the real easy route. Make huge penalties for anyone proved to talking with candidate. Like mandatory minimum jail time but even this could be avoided by Presidential Pardons. I'm not sure if there is an easy way to kill it.
