Repairing LCD TV w/ broken glass?

So my friend was shipped a 50" LCD TV, and the glass broke along the way. It was supposed to be picked up and exchanged, but instead they just sent him a new one, so now he has both an operational one and a broken one.

The glass is pretty caved in like it was basically dropped from a decent height, rendering it useless now, but would it be difficult/probable to repair?

It's junk. Pull the control boards, power supply, etc and ebay them. To the dump with the rest.

This is an easy fix.

1. Open up the TV and knock out the broken glass.
2. Place hand in broken glass.
3. Thrash around hand to gather glass on skin.
4. Use bloody hand to stick the glass in place.
5. Use alcohol or semi-legal drugs to numb the pain.
6. Duct tape a small feline inside to produce sounds for HDTV.
7. Return the now pristine HDTV to store or sell on craigslist as" modern art".
